COLBY, THANK YOU. TURNING NOW TO THE DEVASTATION IN MISSISSIPPI AFTER A TORNADO KILLED AT LEAST 24 PEOPLE. METEOROLOGIST SABRINA BATES JOINING ME NOW. AND SABRINA, THE DATA ON THIS IS ASTOUNDING. IT IS. AND IT’S SO AWFUL ALWAYS TO HEAR ABOUT THIS, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT’S AT NIGHTTIME. NOW, THIS IS THE SAME STORM SYSTEM THAT CAME THROUGH OKLAHOMA ON THURSDAY. BUT THEN YESTERDAY, THAT SYSTEM TURNED DEADLY, BRINGING DEVASTATION TO MISSISSIPPI AND ALABAMA. TO JUST NAME A FEW STATES. NOW, FIELD METEOROLOGISTS MICHAEL ARMSTRONG, HE IS IN STORM COMMAND NOW HEADED TO MISSISSIPPI TO HELP OUR SISTER STATION WITH TORNADO COVERAGE. MICHAEL, THIS WAS A SCARY SITUATION. IT WAS. YOU KNOW, SABRINA, WE KNEW THAT THE RISK WAS GOING TO BE BIGGER, FURTHER EAST OUT OF OKLAHOMA, ACROSS PARTS OF ARKANSAS, MISSISSIPPI, LOUISIANA. AND UNFORTUNATELY, THAT REALLY DID HAPPEN. WE HAD ONE BIG STORM THAT REALLY TOOK OVER YESTERDAY, CHIEF MOTOR JOURNALIST KYLE HAMM AND I, WE ARE HEADED DOWN THERE RIGHT NOW. AS A MATTER OF FACT, TO HELP AFTER THAT KILLER TORNADO STRUCK MISSISSIPPI LAST NIGHT. NOW, VERY LARGE AND POWERFUL TORNADO DEVELOPED JUST BEFORE 8 P.M. LAST NIGHT. SO IT WAS DARK. AND AS THE SUPERCELL CROSSED THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER, THE ONLY WAY TO SEE THIS MONSTER WAS WHEN THE LIGHTNING FLASHED OR WHEN THE TWISTER CREATED A POWERFUL ASH. THE TORNADO MOVED VERY RAPID LEE INTO ROLLING FORK, MISSISSIPPI, AT SPEEDS OF 50 TO 60 MILES PER HOUR. THE STORM LEFT A TRAIL OF DAMAGE ON ITS 100 MILE TREK ACROSS MISSISSIPPI. SEARCH AND RESCUE EFFORTS HAVE CONTINUED THROUGHOUT THE DAY, AND UNFORTUNATELY, NOW THE DEATH TOLL HAS CONTINUED TO CLIMB OVER TWO DOZEN NOW CONFIRMED DEAD. SO WE WILL CONTINUE TO WATCH THIS AND BRING YOU UPDATES ON THE SITUATION. AND ONE OF THE THINGS WE’RE GOING TO WORK TO DO IS REALLY TRY TO BRING YOU A WAY THAT YOU CAN HELP IN THIS SITUATION AS WE
