Two hospitalized after collision with EMBARK bus in southwest Oklahoma City
Two people were taken to a local hospital after an SUV and an EMBARK bus collided Sunday afternoon.

FAMILY THERE, RIGHT? YEAH, THE PARENTS, THEY’RE SCARED BECAUSE THEIR DAUGHTER AND SON IN LAW ARE IN THE HOSPITAL AFTER THEIR CAR FLIPPED OVER. IT WAS ACTUALLY IN THE ROAD JUST RIGHT WHERE THAT THAT WRECKER IS RIGHT NOW. NOW, THIS INVOLVED THE EMBARK BUS THAT’S ACTUALLY BEHIND ME HERE. IT’S GETTING READY TO BE TOWED OFF. BUT, YOU KNOW, THAT SCENE IS CLEARED UP A LITTLE BIT, BUT WE HAVE VIDEO FROM JUST A LITTLE BIT AGO WHERE THAT VEHICLE WAS FLIPPED OVER. THE FAMILY SAYS THEIR DAUGHTER WAS RETURNING HOME WITH GROCERIES AND ON THE GROUND WHERE STRAWBERRIES AND EVEN DEBRIS FROM THE VEHICLE. NOW, POLICE SAY THIS HAPPENED AROUND 330 THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON NEAR SOUTHWEST 15TH AND MERIDIAN, JUST ABOUT EAST OF THAT INTERSECTION THERE. NOW, THE EMBARK BUS IN THIS, ACCORDING TO AN EMBARK EMPLOYEE ON SCENE, WAS ON A ROAD TEST WITH THE MECHANIC DRIVING IT, AND THAT MECHANIC WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. NOW TRAFFIC WAS BEING DIVERTED INTO THIS NEARBY PARKING LOT FOR THE OKLAHOMA RIVER TRAIL, BUT NOW THE ROAD IS OPENED BACK UP. THE POLICE SAY THEY ARE STILL INVESTIGATING THIS SCENE, AND I ASKED THEM JUST A LITTLE BIT AGO HOW THE TWO ARE DOING IN THE HOSPITAL AND POLICE DO NOT HAVE AN UPDATE AS W

The bus was being driven by a service technician, contained no passengers and was not in regular service when the collision happened.The SUV rolled and came to rest on its top after the collision and the driver and a passenger were taken to a hospital to be treated for their injuries. Oklahoma City police said the collision occurred at about 3:30 p.m. near Southwest 15th Street and Meridian Avenue. The bus was being driven by a service technician, contained no passengers and was not in regular service when the collision happened.
