ARE TWO YEAR OLD TWIN SIBLINGS? YEAH. POLICE JUST TOLD ME THAT TWO TWO YEAR OLDS DIED HERE IN A CAR IN NORMAN ON THURSDAY. THEY SAY A FAMILY MEMBER WAS DRIVING THAT CAR AND TURNED AROUND AND REALIZED THE TWO KIDS WERE DEAD IN THE BACK SEAT. NOW, POLICE WERE CALLED OUT TO BROOK STREET AND PICKARD AVENUE JUST WEST OF OU’S CAMPUS, THURSDAY AFTERNOON. AND WHEN THEY ARRIVED, THOSE TWO TWO YEAR OLDS WERE ALREADY DEAD. THEY SAY THE DRIVER STOPPED IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD WHEN THEY DISCOVERED THE CHILDREN BEHIND THEM. POLICE BELIEVE THE CHILDREN HAD BEEN IN THAT CAR FOR MUCH OF THE DAY. IT’S UNCLEAR IF THIS CAR HAD ANY SPECIFIC SAFETY FEATURES THAT CAN HELP PREVENT THIS KIND OF THING FROM HAPPENING, BUT RIGHT NOW, THEY’RE STILL INVESTIGATING WHY THEY WERE LEFT IN THE CAR IN THE FIRST PLACE, BUT THEY DON’T SEE ANY MALICE BEHIND THIS. WE WOULD HAVE HAD TO DETERMINE THAT THERE WAS PROBABLE CAUSE AND INDICATING A WILLFUL NEGLIGENCE DIRECTLY LINKING THEM TO THE DEATH OF THOSE CHILDREN. AND AT THIS TIME, THE INVESTIGATION IS JUST SHOWING US THAT IT’S FAR MORE AN ACCIDENT. TELL ME THEY’RE NOT RECOMMENDING ANY CHARGES AS OF NOW, AND THEY’RE REALLY JUST THINKING ABOUT THE FAMILY AS THEY DO CONTINUE TO COOPERATE WI
