A LOT OF DETAILS HERE. OH, YEAH. IT’S A WILD STORY. NOW, POLICE JUST GAVE US AN UPDATE HERE IN THE LAST HOUR HERE AT HEADQUARTERS, AND THEY SAID THAT THAT SUSPECT, 65 YEAR OLD MAN, IS EXPECTED TO BE OKAY TONIGHT. HE’S IN THE HOSPITAL TONIGHT, BUT NEIGHBORS ARE REALLY BREATHING A SIGH OF RELIEF AFTER WHAT HAPPENED. AFTER A CHAOTIC NIGHT. CHECK THIS OUT. THIS IS A LOOK OF THAT VIDEO FROM THE ORIGINAL HOUSE FIRE. THAT KIND OF STARTED ALL OF THIS. FIREFIGHTERS ARRIVED AND WORKED HOURS TO PUT OUT THE FLAMES. THERE IN THE EDMOND NEIGHBORHOOD ON BRYANT AVENUE AND 33RD STREET. WE JUST FOUND OUT FROM POLICE THAT THE MAN HE LIT A CARPET ON FIRE ON HIS PORCH. THAT’S WHAT STARTED THIS WHOLE SITUATION. THAT FIRE ENDED UP GOING TO THE SECOND FLOOR AND REALLY SPREADING ALL OVER THE PLACE. NOW, ON THEIR WAY TO THE SCENE, LAW ENFORCEMENT FOUND OUT FROM A NEIGHBOR THAT THE HOMEOWNER WAS WAVING A KNIFE ERRATICALLY. OFFICERS PULLED UP, APPROACHED THE MAN WHO WAS CORNERED BY A NEIGHBOR. OFFICERS SHOT THE MAN ONCE AGAIN. HE IS EXPECTED TO BE OKAY, BUT ONCE HE GETS OUT OF THE HOSPITAL, HE WILL LIKELY BE FACING MULTIPLE CHARGES. I DON’T WANT TO SPECULATE ON WHAT NEIGHBORS ARE THINKING OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT, BUT I’M SURE SOMETHING LIKE THAT HAPPENS IN YOUR HOME OR YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD. THAT WOULD BE VERY SCARY. AND POLICE SAY THAT OFFICER WHO SHOT HIM IS ON PAID ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE. THAT IS ROUTINE FOR OFFICER INVOLVED SITUATIONS LIKE THIS. BUT AGAIN, LET’S CIRCLE BACK TO WHAT NEIGHBORS ARE THINKING NOW. THEY WERE SAYING MULTIPLE TIMES. MULTIPLE NEIGHBORS SAID THAT THEY ARE FEARFUL OF THIS MAN. THEY’RE CALLING HIM UNSTABLE. THEY’RE SAYING THAT THIS ISN’T THE FIRST TIME THAT HE’S KIND OF HAD SITUATIONS WITH THEM. I HAVE A VIDEO RIGHT HERE. THIS IS FROM A NEIGHBOR SHE JUST FILED THIS LAST WEEK. LAST THURSDAY, SAYING THAT HE ACTUALLY TRIED TO BREAK INTO HER HOME, THAT THEY KIND OF GOT INTO A SITUATION WITH HER HOUSEKEEPER AS WELL. AND SHE’S SAYING SHE’S PRETTY NERVOUS ABOUT THIS AND ALL OF THE NEIGHBORS, WHILE THEY WERE FEARFUL TO GO ON CAMERA, THEY ARE THANKFUL AND OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AND THEY REALLY HOPE THAT THIS MAN GETS THE HELP THAT HE NEEDS. HE’S GOING TO UNDERGO SOME MENTAL HEALTH EVA
