EVAN, THIS FAMILY IS RELATED TO NASCAR DRIVER JIMMIE JOHNSON. GUYS, IT’S HIS WIFE’S PARENTS RIGHT NOW. MUSKOGEE POLICE BELIEVE JOHNSON’S MOTHER IN LAW SHOT AND KILLED HER HUSBAND AND HER GRANDSON BEFORE TAKING HER OWN LIFE. JACK JANEWAY WAS A WELL KNOWN CHIROPRACTOR IN TOWN. POLICE SAY AROUND 9 P.M. LAST NIGHT, JACKS WIFE TERRY CALLED 911 AND REPORTED A DISTURBANCE. SOMEONE WITH A GUN. WHEN OFFICERS ARRIVED, THEY SAW A PERSON LYING INSIDE THE FRONT DOOR AND THEN THEY HEARD MORE GUNSHOTS. TWO OTHER BODIES WERE FOUND INSIDE. 11 YEAR OLD GRANDSON DALTON, A FIFTH GRADER, AS WELL AS TERRY JANEWAY. AND POLICE SAY EVEN THOUGH IT WAS TERRY WHO CALLED 911, THEY BELIEVE SHE WAS THE SHOOTER. MUSKOGEE MAYOR SAYS HE AND THE TOWN ARE DEVASTATED. I KNEW DOCTOR JANEWAY. DOCTOR JANEWAY HAS WORKED ON ME. WE’VE BEEN ACQUAINTANCES FOR VERY, VERY LONG TIME SINCE I’VE BEEN IN MUSKOGEE. Police say three people, including an 11-year-old boy, are dead after a possible murder-suicide Monday night in Muskogee.Open the video player above to see some of the headlines KOCO 5 is following.Authorities told Tulsa-area television station Fox 23 that Terry Janway, 68, is suspected of shooting and killing her 69-year-old husband, Jack Janway, and their 11-year-old grandson, Dalton Janway. Terry and Jack's daughter, Chandra Janway, is the wife of NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson.Around 9 p.m. Monday, Terry called 911 and reported a disturbance and someone with a gun, according to police. Fox 23 reports that officers found a person lying in the hallway inside the front door and then heard gunshots from inside the house before pulling the person in the hallway out of the home.Get the latest news stories of interest by clicking here.Police said officers yelled out for any other people in the home to come out.
