At about 12:40 p.m. Friday, Norman officers responded to a shooting call at a home in the 1800 block of Twisted Oak Drive. At the scene they found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The man was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries, police said.
Witnesses at the scene gave a description of the shooter, who they said ran from the area after wounding the victim. After a search of the area, police later found and arrested the suspect in the 1300 block of East Lindsey Street.
He was booked into the Cleveland County jail on a complaint of first-degree murder and two complaints of a felon in possession of a firearm, officials said.
Investigators believe the shooting occurred after a “verbal disturbance” between the two men.
No other details have been released.
