ALLERGY SEASON IS UPON US. ACCORDING TO DOCTORS AT OU HEALTH, AND THE NEXT TWO MONTHS IT WILL STAY AROUND A WHILE. NOVEMBER ONWARD. I THINK SYMPTOMS SHOULD BE BETTER IF IT IS JUST ALLERGY RELATED. HE SAYS THE CONSISTENTLY WARM WEATHER THIS SUMMER UP UNTIL NOW, CREATED AN EARLY BLOOMING SEASON FOR THINGS LIKE RAGWEED AND POLLEN IS A BIG FACTOR TOO. THERE IS ANOTHER GENERATION OF MEDICATIONS WHICH ARE VERY EFFECTIVE. THESE ARE MONTELUKAST OR SINGULAIR. THEY CAN BE STARTED A WEEK BEFORE THE SEASON STARTS AND THEY HELP CONTROL THE SYMPTOMS. PRETTY GOOD AS WELL. OVER-THE-COUNTER TREATMENTS LIKE ZYRTEC AND FLONASE WILL WORK THIS TIME OF YEAR AS WELL. THE DOCTOR SAYS DON’T BE SURPRISED IF YOUR ALLERGIES HIT YOU HARD.
