THE COUNTY HOPES TO MAKE HEALTH CARE SERVICES MORE ACCESSIBLE TO THE RURAL PARTS OF THE COUNTY. BEING ABLE TO MOVE THOSE TWO SITES IN THE ONE INTO ONE GAVE US MORE ROOM FOR TRAININGS, MORE SPACE FOR EVERYONE TO HAVE THEIR PROGRAMS RUN THE BEST THEY POSSIBLY CAN. THEY’RE EXPANDING THEIR SERVICES WITH THE CHILDREN’S AREA FOR WHIC SERVICES A DRIVE THRU AND A CLASSROOM TO TEACH HEALTH COURSES, WHICH WILL GIVE STUDENTS AT THE CANADIAN VALLEY TECH CENTER. JUST ACROSS THE STREET, AN OPPORTUNITY FOR HANDS ON TRAINING. IT WILL ALSO HAVE A MOBILE CARE UNIT THAT CAN TRAVEL ACROSS THE COUNTY. OUR MOBILE UNIT CAN DO EVERYTHING THAT WE OFFER INSIDE OF OUR HEALTH DEPARTMENTS. WE HAVE A LOT OF BELOW POVERTY PEOPLE WHO NEED ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE IN RURAL AREAS. SO WE PROVIDE THAT BY BRINGING THOSE SERVICES TO THEM. LEADERS SAY THEY CHOSE TO CLOSE THE YUKON LOCATION AND MOVE ALL OF ITS SERVICES TO EL RENO AS THE CENTRAL HUB TO SERVE ALL COMMUNITIES IN THE COUNTY.
