OKLAHOMA CITY POLICE ARE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECTS WHO TOOK OFF AFTER TWO HIT AND RUN CRASHES. AND KOCO SHELBY MONTGOMERY JOINS US LIVE NEAR SOUTHWEST 50TH AND SHARTEL NEAR THE SCENE OF THOSE CRASHES. AND, SHELBY, YOU SPOKE TO NEIGHBORS WHO HEARD ALL OF THIS. GOOD MORNING. YES, I SPOKE TO SEVERAL NEIGHBORS WHO SAY THEY HEARD THE CRASH, CAME OUTSIDE AND SAW THOSE TWO SUSPECTS RUNNING FROM THE CAR. NOW, THIS IS THAT AREA WHERE THAT SUSPECT DID CRASH HIS CAR RIGHT INTO THAT TREE ON THE CORNER THERE YOU CAN SEE SOME OF THE BARK THAT’S MISSING. IT CAME TO A STOP RIGHT OVER HERE. YOU CAN SEE THE SCRAPES ON THE ROADWAY. NOW, OFFICIALS DID JUST CLEAR THAT CAR FROM THE SCENE ABOUT 30 MINUTES AGO. SO TAKE A LOOK. THAT CAR DID HAVE SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE. THE FIRST CRASH HAPPENED A FEW BLOCKS AWAY ON SOUTHWEST 44TH AND SHARTEL. WHEN THE SUSPECT CRASHED INTO A CAR BEFORE CONTINUING TO DRIVE. THEN HE HIT THAT TREE INSIDE OF THAT CAR, A TEEN GIRL ON HER WAY TO SCHOOL. I SPOKE TO HER MOM AND BROTHER WHO WERE STILL ON SCENE. THE DAUGHTER TOO SHAKEN UP TO TALK ON CAMERA. YES, I WAS AT WORK AND SHE CALLED ME MOM. THEY CRASHED INTO ME AND I WAS LIKE, I THOUGHT IT WAS SOMETHING SMALL, BUT SHE WAS CRYING AND I WAS LIKE, WHAT HAPPENED? SHE’S LIKE, THEY CRASHED INTO ME. MOM, CAN YOU COME? AND I WAS LIKE, YEAH. SO I LET MY BOSS KNOW AND I COME AND HERE I SEE ALL THIS. THE DAUGHTER WAS DOING OKAY AND IS STILL SHAKEN UP. Police are searching for a hit-and-run suspect after a crash Tuesday morning in a southwest Oklahoma City neighborhood.The incident started around 8 a.m. on Southwest 44th Street and Shartel when the suspect crashed into a car. Inside the car was a teenage girl on her way to school."I thought it was something small. And now that I see her car, I was like 'Oh my God.' Then, I see his car and I'm like, 'It's just ridiculous,'" Maria Herrera said.Police said the suspect crashed into another car before hitting a tree and running from the scene. Their car had significant damage to its passenger side and was missing a tire, and the windshield was busted."I was at work and she called me like, 'Mom, they crashed into me.' And I was like ... I thought it was something small, but she was crying and I was like, 'What happened?' She was like, 'They crashed into me, mom. Can you come?' And I was like, 'Yeah.' So I let my boss know, and I come here. I see all this."Neighbors told KOCO 5 that they heard the crash and came outside to running to see what the noise was."There was a car. I came up walking to it and thought, 'Oh God, are they still alive?" David Stubblefield said.He told KOCO 5 that two people got out of the car.>> Download the KOCO 5 App"He was trying to get into the back door, and that's when I see the other kid crawling out, had blood spitting out of his mouth," Stubblefield said. "That's when I seen the other guy grab a gun, and I took a step back and was like, 'Hey, you alright?' And he said, 'I'm good. I'm alright.'"Both people took off running, but police found the passenger shortly afterward.
