Oklahoma company has learning experience after reroofing wrong house

It was a $30,000 mistake and a family has a brand new roof.

FAMILY WITH THIS BRAND NEW ROOF. WELL, IT’S SAFE TO SAY GETTING A NEW ROOF ISN’T CHEAP, SO YOU CAN ONLY IMAGINE ONE COUPLE SURPRISED WHEN THEY CAME HOME TO A BRAND NEW ROOF UNEXPECTEDLY. THEY WERE CRAWLING ALL OVER. ROOF IS OFF. AND THEN THERE WAS ONLY ONE PROBLEM WITH THAT. WE DIDN’T ORDER A ROOF. IT WAS A NEARLY $30,000 SURPRISE FOR ONE LOCAL COUPLE. THE BIG ROOF. DIFFICULT. STEEP. WE’RE IN HOCKEY TOWN AND WE GET A PHONE CALL LIKE AT 930 IN THE MORNING, AND IT WAS OBVIOUSLY A GUY THAT WAS FRAZZLED. HE’S LIKE, WELL, I HATE TO TELL YOU THIS, BUT WE’RE ABOUT 75% OF THE WAY THROUGH TAKING OFF YOUR ROOF. AND WE’RE LIKE LOOKING AT EACH OTHER, GOING, THIS IS NOT GOOD. THE MISTAKE STARTED WITH THE WRONG ADDRESS. OUR OUR SALESMAN SENDING OUT A TEXT MESSAGE TO OUR INSTALLERS OR TO OUR CREW OF WHERE TO GO. HE HAD PUT ONE NUMBER IN THE ADDRESS INCORRECTLY INTO THAT TEXT MESSAGE, BUT THE CREW DIDN’T REALIZE IT UNTIL THEY HAD TORN OFF THE WRONG FAMILY’S ROOF. SO OF COURSE THEY HAD TO FINISH WHAT THEY STARTED. THEY JUST HANDLED IT IN THE BEST POSSIBLE. WAY BECAUSE YES, THEY MADE A MISTAKE, BUT THEY SWIFTLY ACTED. THEY FOUND. US. FIRST OF ALL, THEY HAD TO GO TO NEIGHBORS TO TRY TO FIND OUT WHO OWNS THIS HOUSE. THEY FOUND US, TRACKED US DOWN, AND THEN NOT ONLY DID THEY PUT ON A ROOF VERY QUICKLY, BUT THEY GAVE US AN UPGRADE ON THE ROOF. THE SINNERS WEREN’T UPSET, BUT INTRIGUED AT THE COMPANY’S INTEGRITY. POSTING THIS TO SOCIAL MEDIA. AS FOR THE HOME JUST DOWN THE BLOCK THAT WAS THEIR ORIGINAL CLIENT, THEY EVENTUALLY HAD THEIR ROOF INSTALLED, JUST DELAYED BY A COUPLE DAYS. IT’S A GOOD LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR OUR OFFICE. UM, I MEAN, IT’S A MISTAKE. BUT IT’S CERTAINLY NOT A MISTAKE. THAT’S I MEAN, IT I WHAT IT IS.
