SALVAGE THIS WEEKEND. I’LL TALK ABOUT THAT COMING UP HERE IN A FEW MINUTES. JONATHAN THANK YOU. DEVELOPING THIS MORNING, CREWS WRAPPING UP AT THE SCENE OF A COMMERCIAL FIRE. THEY’VE BEEN OUT THERE FOR MORE THAN FOUR HOURS NOW. OUR CAMERAS, THEY’VE BEEN ON THAT SCENE NEAR I, 35 SOUTHEAST, 62ND SINCE FIVE. AND YOU CAN SEE THE FLAMES THAT WERE SHOOTING FROM THAT BUILDING EARLIER. COCO SHELBY MONTGOMERY OUT THERE LIVE FOR US NOW WITH THE LATEST LOOK AT THE SCENE. SHELBY. GOOD MORNING. FIRE CREWS. JUST LEFT THE SCENE ABOUT TWO MINUTES AGO. HOWEVER, WE STILL HAVE INVESTIGATORS HERE IN ONE MOORE UNIT AS WELL. BUT TAKE A LOOK AT THE DAMAGE THAT THAT FIRE HAS DONE. SO THIS RIGHT HERE WAS A BUILDING THAT BELONGED TO A CAR LOT. AS YOU CAN SEE, SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE FROM THAT FIRE. AND AS YOU MENTIONED, IT STARTED JUST BEFORE FIVE THIS MORNING. SO TAKE A LOOK AT THE VIDEO. WHEN WE FIRST ARRIVED SHORTLY AFTER THE FIRE STARTED, WHEN CREWS WERE HERE, THEY SAY THE ROOF DID COLLAPSE ON THAT BUILDING, WHICH AS AGAIN, IS A GARAGE FOR THE CAR SHOP. SEVERAL CARS AND A BOAT WERE DESTROYED IN THE FIRE. AND HERE’S WHAT FIRE CREWS SAY WHEN THEY FIRST ARRIVED. WE HAD A COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE BACK HERE THAT WAS WELL INVOLVED. ACCESS WAS AN ISSUE. WE HAD ONE WAY IN AND SO WE HAD A STRATEGICALLY PLACE. OUR APPARATUS, UH, UPON ARRIVAL, WE HAD EXPLOSIONS GOING OFF. SO WE WENT INTO A DEFENSIVE OPERATION, WHICH WE HAVE MAINTAINED BECAUSE THE STRUCTURE DID COLLAPSE. UH, APPARENTLY THIS IS SOME SORT OF A BODY SHOP OR SOMETHING. UH, WE WERE ADVISED IT HAD ABOUT 300 GALLONS OF DIESEL FUEL IN IT. BECAUSE OF ALL OF THAT, DIESEL FIRE CREWS HAD TO USE SOME DEFENSIVE TECHNIQUES TO GET IN THERE. AND AS YOU MENTIONED, THERE’S ONLY ONE WAY IN, ONE WAY OUT. SO THAT MADE IT HARD FOR THEM TO ACCESS SOME FIRE HYDRANTS AS WELL. THEY HAD TO STRETCH THOSE WATER LINES ALL THE WAY TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD BEHIND THIS, AS WELL AS THROUGH THE SERVICE ROAD RIGHT HERE ON I 35. BUT TO TAKE A LOOK THAT ALL ALL THAT DAMAGE THE FIRE DESTROYED THIS BUILDING FIRE OFFICIALS SAY THIS IS ALMOST A TOTAL LOSS. BUT RIGHT NOW WE DO KNOW THAT THAT THERE WERE NO INJURIES, NO ONE WAS INSIDE. SO SEVERAL CARS INSIDE OF THERE DAMAGED AS WELL, REPORTING LIVE
