The Potawatomi Fire were crowned The Basketball League champions after defeating the St. Louis Griffins 98-89 on Tuesday at FireLake Arena in Shawnee.

Deshawn Munson scored 14 points and collected 11 rebounds, seven assists and two steals while Chuck Guy had 24 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two steals during the Game 3 victory. The two earned co-Playoff MVP honors.
All five Fire starts finished the game with double-digit points.
The Potawatomi Fire opened the series with a 106-104 overtime loss but forced the decisive Game 3 after evening the series with a 127-95 victory.
The championship comes during the Fire's second season with The Basketball League.
