THE FLIGHTLESS BIRD WAS SPOTTED IN MCKEESPORT OVER THE WEEKEND. NOW, PITTSBURGH’S ACTION NEWS FOUR CAUGHT WITH A WOMAN WHO GOT THE VIDEO OF THE EMU AND POSTED IT TO SOCIAL MEDIA. SHE SAYS SHE LIVES JUST A FEW STREETS AWAY FROM THE OWNERS. AT FIRST I THOUGHT I WAS DREAMING, SO WHEN I CAME OUT THE DOOR AND SAW IT, I HAD TO RUB MY EYES AND MAKE SURE I WAS SEEING WHAT I WAS ACTUALLY SEEING. IT FELT LIKE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC AT MY FRONT DOOR. I DIDN’T GET THAT CLOSE. I STAYED BACK THE OWNER PULLED UP AND THEY KIND OF WRESTLED A LITTLE BIT, AND THEY GOT IT IN THE CAR AND TOOK IT HOME. Airiel Dawson said she lives just a few streets away from the owners of the emu. "At first, I thought it was a dream," she said. "So when I came out the door and saw it, I had to rub my eyes and make sure I was seeing what I was actually seeing. It felt like National Geographic at my front door."I didn't get that close.
