ALL WE KNOW RIGHT NOW IS THAT A MAN WAS SHOT IN ONE OF THESE HOTEL ROOMS AT THE LINCOLN INN EXPRESS HERE OFF OF LINCOLN BOULEVARD. NO ONE IS IN CUSTODY AS OF NOW. AND POLICE ARE LOOKING FOR CLUES ON WHO DID THIS. NOW, OCPD SAYS THIS HAPPENED AROUND 830 TONIGHT. THIS IS OFF LINCOLN BOULEVARD, NOT FAR FROM I-44. POLICE SAY MULTIPLE PEOPLE CALLED 911 REPORTING GUNSHOTS. AND WHEN OFFICERS GOT HERE, THEY FOUND AN ADULT MALE INSIDE ONE OF THE HOTEL ROOMS WITH A GUNSHOT WOUND. THERE ARE NOT A LOT OF ANSWERS RIGHT NOW. HOWEVER, POLICE SAY THEY BELIEVE THIS WAS AN ISOLATED INCIDENT AND THERE IS NO DANGER TO THE PUBLIC. WHEN THE FIRST OFFICER ARRIVED, HE WAS IMMEDIATELY DIRECTED TO A ROOM AND SAID THAT SOMEONE NEEDED MEDICAL ATTENTION. WHEN THE OFFICER GOT THERE, HE LOCATED AN ADULT MALE THAT APPEARED TO HAVE A GUNSHOT WOUND. CPR WAS STARTED, HOWEVER, THE INJURIES WERE TOO SEVERE AND UNFORTUNATELY THE INDIVIDUAL WAS DECLARED TO BE DECEASED. NOW, POLICE DON’T EVEN HAVE A SUSPECT DESCRIPTION THAT THEY COULD GIVE US TONIGHT. THE INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING. WE’RE STILL WAITING ON FURTHER DETAILS ON THE VICTIM AS WELL.

A homicide investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed Monday night at a northeast Oklahoma City hotel.Shortly after 8:30 p.m., police responded to the Lincoln Inn Express near Northeast 50th Street and Lincoln Avenue after multiple people reported hearing gunshots. Officers found a victim with a gunshot wound.Police said life-saving measures were started, but the man was later pronounced dead. Information about the man has not been released.Police told KOCO 5 that they believe the deadly shooting was an isolated incident and there's no danger to the public. They also do not have a suspect description at this time.The deadly shooting is the latest homicide investigation to happen at the Lincoln Inn Express. In early August, a man died after being shot in a second-floor hallway at the hotel.KOCO 5 obtained the calls for service throughout the past few years at the Lincoln Inn Express, which showed that calls to the hotel nearly doubled in the past year.
