HAVE BEEN MADE. IT’S ALMOST 905 HERE AND NOW TO DALLAS, WHERE POLICE OFFICER AND A SUSPECT ARE DEAD AFTER A SHOOTING OVERNIGHT. DALLAS POLICE SAY IT STARTED AFTER 10:00 LAST NIGHT WHEN AN OFFICER WAS FOUND WOUNDED IN A SQUAD CAR. THE OFFICERS WHO GOT TO THAT SCENE, THEY FOUND THE SUSPECT. AND POLICE SAY THEY EXCHANGED GUNFIRE WITH HIM BEFORE HE DROVE OFF FROM THE SCENE INTO A NEARBY SUBURB. TWO MORE OFFICERS WERE SHOT IN THAT EXCHANGE. OFFICERS THEN CAUGHT UP TO HIM NEARBY LEWISVILLE. THE PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION IS SHOWING THEM WHEN THAT SUSPECT EXITED, THAT VEHICLE. HE HAD A LONG GUN. DALLAS POLICE OFFICERS THEN SHOT AT THE SUSPECT. FIRED AT THE SUSPECT, AND HE DIED AT THAT SCENE. ONE OF THE INJURED OFFICERS IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION, WHILE THE OTHER IS EXPECTED TO SURVIVE. POLICE NOW INVESTIGATING TO FIND OUT WHAT LED UP TO THE FIRST OFFICER BEING SHOT. AND FLAGS AT CITY FACILITIES IN DALLAS.

The responding officers exchanged gunfire with the suspect at the scene and two of the officers were shot.The three officers were taken to hospitals, where one of them died. The other two were listed in critical and stable condition, police said.The suspect fled the scene and was pursued by other officers to Lewisville, Texas, about 25 miles (40 kilometers) northwest of Dallas, police said. The man then got out of the vehicle with a long gun on Interstate 35 and was shot by officers, authorities said. Just after 10 p.m. Thursday, Dallas police responded to an officer in distress call and found a fellow officer wounded in a squad car, police said. The responding officers exchanged gunfire with the suspect at the scene and two of the officers were shot.
