NEW AT 5:00 A 17 YEAR-OLD IS DEAD AFTER HE WAS SHOT OUTSIDE A METRO TIRE SHOP. KOCO ABIGAIL OGLE JOINING US IN STUDIO HERE, ABBY, POLICE BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS ALL AN ACCIDENT. GUYS. THAT’S RIGHT. WE ARE LEARNING FROM POLICE THAT THE TEEN, ALFREDO SANCHEZ, WAS AT THIS BUSINESS FRIDAY AFTERNOON ON SOUTHEAST 29TH OFF OF I-35. AND IT WASN’T LONG AFTER OKLAHOMA CITY POLICE RESPONDED TO A GUNSHOT. IT’S A TEENAGE YOUNG MAN. IT APPEARS, AT LEAST ON THE SURFACE, THAT HE AND ANOTHER YOUNG MAN WERE HANDLING A FIREARM WHEN IT ACCIDENTALLY DISCHARGED, STRIKING THE VICTIM AND KILLING HIM. Police say a 17-year-old died after a firearm accidentally discharged last week at a southeast Oklahoma City business. When officers arrived, they found a victim with a gunshot wound, according to police.The victim was taken to a hospital, where police said he died. Shortly before 2:10 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a reported shooting at a tire shop along Southeast 29th Street between Interstate 35 and High Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a victim with a gunshot wound, according to police.
