A three-vehicle crash caused a major traffic backup Wednesday morning on eastbound Interstate 44 in Oklahoma City.

Sky 5, which is the only news helicopter in the air on weekday mornings, showed that three vehicles — including a box truck, an SUV and a utility van — are blocking part of eastbound I-44 near Pennsylvania Avenue.
A partial lane was open while motorists were able to slowly get around the crash. At one point, Sky 5 pilot Chase Rutledge said eastbound traffic was backed up to Lake Hefner Parkway.
An Oklahoma City Fire Department truck, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers and an EMSA ambulance responded to the scene. A wrecker arrived at around 7:40 a.m. and cleared the scene.
