Could the nation's second tallest building be built in OKC?

ASPIRATION RATHER THAN AN EXPECTATION. YEAH. JESS, EVERYONE KNOWS IN OKLAHOMA CITY THE DEVON TOWER IS THE TALLEST BUILDING BY FAR, BUT DEVELOPERS NOW ASPIRE TO BUILD A STRUCTURE TWICE AS HIGH, JUST A FEW BLOCKS SOUTHEAST RIGHT HERE IN LOWER BRICKTOWN. THESE ARE THE NEW RENDERINGS RELEASED TODAY, DRAWN BY AYO ARCHITECTS, SHOWING EARLY MOCK UPS OF THE BOARDWALK AT BRICKTOWN, AN ENTERTAINMENT, HOSPITALITY AND RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT PLANNED FOR LOWER BRICKTOWN. THE DEVELOPMENT HAS ALREADY BEEN APPROVED FOR CITY INCENTIVES. SO THE AGREEMENT WE HAVE WITH THE DEVELOPER AT THE CITY IS THAT THEY WOULD PROVIDE AT LEAST 900 RESIDENTIAL UNITS, AT LEAST $500 MILLION WORTH OF DEVELOPMENT. AND WHAT DEVELOPERS DIDN’T INITIALLY MENTION WAS PLANS FOR THIS. A 134 STORY LUXURY APARTMENT TOWER WITH MORE THAN 1500 UNITS FAR BEYOND WHAT’S NEEDED TO QUALIFY FOR INCENTIVES. THE RENDERINGS THAT THEY RECENTLY RELEASED WOULD BE MUCH MORE THAN THAT, AND WE HOPE THAT COMES TRUE. BUT AT A VERY MINIMUM. THE DEAL WE HAVE WITH THEM WOULD BE TO BUILD A $500 MILLION WORTH OF DEVELOPMENT. KEN SUTO, WITH THE ALLIANCE FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, POINTING OUT THE DEVELOPERS PLAN TO BUILD THE COMPLEX IN PHASES. SO THE REALITY OF THE SECOND TALLEST BUILDING IN THE COUNTRY BEING BUILT IN OKLAHOMA CITY, BOILS DOWN TO DEMAND. SO THEY WILL DEVELOP PORTIONS OF IT. SEE HOW YOU KNOW THE ROOMS ABSORB IN THE MARKET AND THEN BASED ON HOW THE MARKET LEADS THEM, THEY’LL BUILD ACCORDINGLY. AND THE DEVELOPER TELLS ME HE
