DESTROYING EVIDENCE. WE’VE GOT A FIRST ALERT TRAFFIC WARNING THAT COULD IMPACT YOU FOR THE NEXT YEAR. YEAH. THIS MORNING, SKY FIVE FLEW OVER I-40 IN DOUGLAS, AND THIS WAS AFTER ODOT HAD JUST MADE SOME CHANGES IN THAT AREA LAST NIGHT. AND YOU KNOW WHO CAN GIVE US A REALLY GOOD VIEW OF THIS IS PILOT CHASE RUTLEDGE OR SKY 5 PILOT WITH HOW THOSE CHANGES COULD IMPACT YOUR COMMUTE. SKY 5 FLYING HIGH ABOVE I-40 IN DOUGLAS WITH AN IMPORTANT TRAFFIC ALERT, ESPECIALLY FOR ANYONE WHO DRIVES A TWO FROM OR AROUND TINKER EVERY DAY. AS OF THIS MORNING, THE I-40 ON AND OFF RAMPS AT DOUGLAS ARE CLOSED. CREWS SHUT THEM DOWN LAST NIGHT. THEY ALSO SHIFTED THE WESTBOUND LANES OF I-40, MEANING TRAFFIC WILL BE DOWN TO JUST TWO LANES IN BOTH DIRECTIONS. AND THAT’S ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE SPRING OF 2024. IT’S PART OF A MUCH BIGGER TWO YEAR PROJECT FOR NOW, DRIVERS WHO NEED TO GET ON WESTBOUND I-40 CAN USE THE RAMPS AT INDUSTRIAL BOULEVARD. HOWEVER, ODOT DOES WANT YOU TO REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE NEW TRAFFIC LIGHTS THERE, SO BE SURE TO PACK YOUR PATIENCE BECAUSE OF YOUR MORNING COMMUTE TAKES YOU THROUGH THIS AREA. As of Friday morning, the westbound on-and-off ramps at Douglas Boulevard closed. Westbound I-40 lanes will be shifted between Post Road and Industrial Boulevard.
Traffic will remain in two lanes in each direction.
