Abigail Ogle

Anchor

Abigail Ogle anchors KOCO 5 News at 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. weekday evenings, with co-anchors Jessica Schambach, Evan Onstot and Zach Rael, Chief Meteorologist Damon Lane and Sports Director Bryan Keating.

Ogle has broken many major stories throughout her career. She was first on the scene at a Norman hostage standoff in November, 2014, reporting live for six tense hours as police negotiated a peaceful ending. Ogle also frequently field-anchors big breaking news stories. From severe weather coverage, to the historic Oklahoma Teacher Walkout, she takes viewers where the news is happening.

Ogle’s family has deep roots in Oklahoma. Her great grandfather was a councilman in Midwest City, and he and her great great grandfather both served as Mayor of Cache, Oklahoma. Some of her family were among the earliest Oklahoma settlers. As an Oklahoma native, she feels honored to serve the community she loves. She is proud to follow in the footsteps of her grandfather Jack Ogle, who was also a KOCO 5 on-air personality.

Ogle is a proud graduate of Edmond Memorial High School and The University of Oklahoma, Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication. She loves spending time with her husband, her dog, and is an active community volunteer. She dedicates much of her free time in support of The American Cancer Society, The Children’s Center, The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame, and The Make-A-Wish Foundation. She works to support events that help veterans and our wounded men and women in uniform. She also supports local animal rescue and adoption agencies.

Ogle has been recognized for her work by Oklahoma Magazine, whose readers in 2019 awarded her Most Trusted Source for news. Also in 2019, she won an Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters Award for the special “Ten Years of Thunder Basketball.” The readers of 405 Magazine voted Ogle Anchor of The Year in 2019, as they did in 2017. She has also been named to the 30 under 30 list of the most influential Oklahomans under 30 years old.
