It's almost time for the Oklahoma State Fair!
Below is what you'll need to know before you, your family and friends load up the car and go to the 2024 Oklahoma State Fair.
Dates, Hours and Admission
The Oklahoma State Fair runs from Sept. 12-22 at the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds. The fair showcases Oklahoma's agriculture, manufacturing and commerce and features family entertainment and educational exhibits as well as competitions and fair fun.
Buildings will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Outside vendors are open from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The carnival opens at noon on Monday, at 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

- Aug. 26-Sept. 7: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Sept. 22: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Before the Oklahoma State Fair starts, you can save when you buy outside gate admission tickets at the OKC Fairgrounds Box Office, online or by calling 405-948-6800.
- Adults (ages 12+): $12
- Children (ages 6-11): $7.50
- Season Passes: $40 (only available online)
During the fair, outside gate admission tickets are available at the ticket booths outside each gate. Same-day re-entry is allowed with your ticket stub and a handstamp from the ticket-takers. Any purchases made using a credit card will have a surcharge added.

Below is a look at the special discount days the Oklahoma State Fair will offer this year.
- Thursday, Sept. 12: Tinker Federal Credit Union Thrifty Thursday: $8 outside gate admission for everyone (children 5 and under FREE); $4 Little Book of Big Deals and ride all day armbands for $25.
- College Day: $5 admission for college students (ID required) One admission per ID.
- Monday, Sept. 16: Tractor Bobs Military Monday: All active duty, retired, veterans and their spouses (military ID required) receive free outside gate admission and $5 Sky Eye Wheel ride tickets.
- Tuesday, Sept. 17: Taste of the Fair Tuesday: $4 outside gate admission, $4 food items from every stand at the fair, $4 Little Book of Big Deals, and $4 Sky Eye Wheel ride tickets for everyone.
- Wednesday, Sept. 18: Senior Day: Free admission for Senior Citizens 55+ (ID required), $5 Sky Eye Wheel ride tickets.
- Thursday, Sept. 19: Tinker Federal Credit Union Thrifty Thursday: $8 outside gate admission for everyone (children 5 and under free), $4 Little Book of Big Deals, and ride all day armbands for $25.
Youth Attendance Policy
Fairgoers under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or chaperone 25 or older after 5 p.m. Fair officials say ID may be required, and eligible adults may accompany up to five minors. Adults are required to remain at the Oklahoma State Fair while the minors attend.
Officially recognized tour/corporate groups or youth in official Oklahoma State Fair competitions or other programs with established supervisory practices are exempt from this policy. Minors in violation of the policy are subject to removal.
Parking
There are various options for parking at the Oklahoma State Fair.
There are acres of free parking available on the north and south sides of the property, and handicapped parking is available at most gates. Paid parking and free parking are accessible from Northwest 10th Street, May Avenue and Reno avenues.
Single-day parking passes and season parking passes are available at the OKC Fairgrounds box office. Single-day parking is $10, and season parking is $50.
Trams also are available inside the fairgrounds starting at 10 a.m. daily.
Cash is no longer accepted for paid parking upon arrival. Fair officials say a credit or debit card must be used. Apple, Google and other "card not present" methods of payment are not acceptable at this time. A 3% fee will be added to each transaction.

Below is a look at the new and featured food you can try during this year's Oklahoma State Fair.
- Spicy Pickle Pizza – Swains Pizza On-A-Stick: Homemade pizza dough smothered with jalapeño ranch sauce, topped with mozzarella cheese, pickle chips, and sprinkled with a Cajun dust.
- Bacon Wrapped Oreos – The Bacon Habit: A classic Oreo wrapped in seasoned bacon, cooked to perfection.
- Puff Puff – Afrikan Delights: A sweet, deep-fried dough ball that's typically sprinkled with powdered sugar, condensed milk, chocolate, caramel, or Oreo. Puff-puff is a popular West African snack.
- Cap’n Crunch Chicken Sandwich – Boki Food Service: Chicken coated with Cap’n Crunch cereal, deep-fried, then topped with honey and raspberry sauce, served on a bun.
- Cinnamon Rolled Cold Brew Pie – Cutie Pies Concessions: A cinnamon sprinkled graham cracker crust filled with a creamy cold brew pie filling that is loaded with sweet cinnamon roll pieces then topped with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon and sugar.
- Deep-Fried Doritos Pickle – Diventuri Concessions: Enjoy a large, spiraled pickle, coated in Cool Ranch Doritos, then deep-fried and served with ranch dressing.

Attractions
Along with the usual fair attractions – like the Ferris wheel, Midway, games and vendors – the Oklahoma State Fair offers a lot of new fun for 2024.
Below is a look at some of the new attractions.
- Taste of the Fair Tuesday, Sept. 17: Take advantage of $4 outside gate admission, $4 food items from nearly every stand at the Fair, $4 Little Book of BIG DEALS, and $4 Sky Eye Wheel ride tickets for everyone!
- OK!toberfest: Head to the Fest Tent, located between the Jim Norick Arena and the Bennett Event Center, for German beer, wine, food, and music! Live bands will be playing and the drinks will be flowing Thursday through Sunday, both weekends of the Fair! Step over to Harvell Concessions next door to the Fest Tent for bratwursts and German potato salad.
- Stinkin' Sentra by Dent Source: Four contestants will live in this stinkin' Sentra during the 2024 Oklahoma State Fair! The last person to exit gets to take it home! Stop by and check out the competition on the Centennial Lawn. Visit stinkinsentra.com for more information.
- Urban Homesteading Expo, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sept. 15: Presented by Okie Homesteading. If you’re intrigued by the idea of homesteading but have little to no acreage, you’re not alone. Check out this special event to learn about urban homesteading.
- Bison Encounter, Sept. 19-22: If you have never seen Oklahoma’s majestic state mammal up close or if you have burning questions you wanted to ask about these amazing creatures, now’s your chance to do both. Visit the Oklahoma Bison Association experts in Barn 3 during the last four days of the Fair to experience it.
- Wine & Palette, 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sept. 19: These painting classes accommodate all from the novice to the master. Supplies are provided for this one of a kind make it and take it souvenir opportunity. Fair admission is included in the registration fee. Visit okstatefair.com for more info.
- Stargazing in the Planetarium: Sit back and look up as the night sky comes alive five times a day with audiences learning about constellations, planets, the structure of the universe, and more. It’s an experience for all ages. Located in the Arts Annex.
- Crackin' Corn Comedy Show: When the cornball clodhopper cranks up his crop-quenching contraption, these rural rubes conjure up a crowd coolin’ cloudburst. You can catch them strolling around the circle or sit yourself down and enjoy one of their shows in the Oklahoma Frontier Experience throughout the day.
- Pirate Adventure Experience: Catch Pirate Man Dan as he takes to the Fair seas and sails around The Circle and down Wichita Walk onboard his pirate ship! When he pulls into a port, you might catch him leaving his ship on stilts or a unicycle or maybe you get a chance to hop on board, grab a foam sword, and have someone snap your picture with the pirate himself.
- Tumbleweed Crossing: This award-winning comedy wild west gunfight stunt show will take you on a zany trip back in time where laughs fly like bullets and hilarity is the law of the land!
- Sophie Duch, PRCA Stunt Rider: Sophie Duch has been riding and competing in equestrian events since she was three years old. 2024 began her rookie year in the PRCA and seventh year of her career in rodeo entertainment with trick riding, Roman riding, and an Annie Oakley mounted shooting reenactment. Grab your front row seat and be amazed at her riding expertise twice daily during the Wild West Showcase.
- Pirate Man Dan: Get ready for thrilling escapes, unicycle stunts, knife or fire juggling, balloons and whacky antics, music and dance moves, all choreographed to a pirate nautical theme and story. Watch your loved ones be a part of the show and laugh harder than you thought possible!
- The Great American Living Carousel: This living carousel boasts beautiful purebred Welsh ponies that carry their little cowboys and cowgirls under a revolving tent top.
- Pretty Bird Paradise: This is a free interactive all-day exhibit. Fair patrons may enter the aviary and interact with over 100 parakeets. Feed sticks will be available to purchase but are not required. Most of the birds are rescue birds.
- Wick & Whimsy Frontier Candle Maker: Jenni brings her craft of candle making all the way from Rockwood, Tennessee. Oklahoma welcomes her to our great Fair and can’t wait for her to join all the other Frontier artisans in the Oklahoma Frontier Experience.
- Reading is Sweet: Creative Arts Contest, Junior Arts & Crafts, Division 3645 – Kids will create a treat for their favorite storybook characters. Items will be tasted and a reason why they made it must be provided.
- Poultry Show: Grab your feathered friends and head to the OK State Fair! With a variety of classes and divisions, there's something for everyone. Get all the info in the poultry competition guide.
- Major Neurocognitive Crafts: Creative Arts Contest, Fine Arts, Crafts & Hobbies, Division 3523 – This is a preFair contest for those with a major neurocognitive disorder such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, etc., to enter an item they have created.
- From the Beehive: Beeswax & Cut Comb Contest: Creative Arts Contest, Fine Arts, Crafts & Hobbies, Division 3524. Partnering with the Oklahoma State Beekeepers Association, competitors will bring their cut comb and beeswax to be judged.
- Old Timers Showmanship: Livestock competitions are not just the young man's game! Those of a more advanced age are welcome into the show ring! Check out the beef competition guide for more info.
- Supreme Overall Cattle Drive: Making a grand return to the Oklahoma State Fair, there will be an overall supreme drive in the cattle ring, naming a Supreme Overall Junior Heifer, a Supreme Overall Open Heifer, and a Supreme Overall Open Bull!
Disney On Ice
"Disney On Ice presents Magic in the Stars" will bring a new production to the Jim Norick Arena at the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds. The show features your favorite characters from movies like "Toy Story," "Frozen," "Moana," Beauty and the Beast," "Cinderella," "Wish" and more, as well as Mickey, Donald and Goofy.
