Just after 12 a.m. Saturday, Colby C. Smith, of Lamont, was driving an ATV south on County Road 970, about 4 miles east of Pond Creek. The ATV left the road, rolled and landed on its wheels. Smith was thrown from the vehicle, the patrol reported.
Smith died at the scene from his injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt or a helmet, troopers said.
