Rossen Reports: Best days to fly for fall travel deals
Hi. Yeah, new numbers out from the travel site. Hopper showing us just how much *** weekend getaway is gonna cost you as we approach the fall. They found that flights for long weekends in September starting after Labor Day. And assuming you're traveling Thursday to Sunday are costing about $270 for *** round trip. Domestic ticket prices begin to rise in October peaking around the long weekend of Columbus Day at $341. Then they dropped down again to $278 around Halloween. But you could save even more just by slightly adjusting the days you fly. We've told you this before Sunday is the most expensive day to travel. So instead of flying Thursday to Sunday, switch it and try Saturday to Tuesday. Hopper says that little change will save you 17 percent on the cost of flights.
