Rossen Reports: New scam targeting kids on social media. Here's what to look for
Hi. Yeah. New scam going around. Wanna tell you about this and officials are putting out the urgent warning. Here's how it works. Someone claiming to be an artist reaches out to you on social media. They tell you they like your photos. They wanna pay you for permission to paint them. They me *** check to deposit and all they ask is that you send them just *** little bit of the money to cover their supplies. You can keep the rest, the check looks real but it's fake. And by the time the bank realizes it, guess what? And it bounces you're out the money because you already sent the scammer that little bit of money they wanted. So what should you do? Easy rule if someone sends you *** check and ask you to send money back to them, don't do it. I've done this *** long time. I've never seen it work and make *** report to the FTC at Report fraud.ftc.gov. So they can investigate and stop this from happening to someone else. I'm gonna be sure to share that link in my Rawson reports newsletter plus bonus content and exclusive deals. It comes straight to your inbox and it's free sign up right now. At Rawson reports.com, we keep you posted on all those scams back to you.
