Human remains found in Chickasha last week have been identified as a 47-year-old who disappeared last August.
On July 11, the Chickasha Police Department requested the help of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation after skeletal remains were found near East Choctaw Avenue and Genevieve Street in Chickasha. The Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office identified those remains as Richard Houston, 47.
Houston was last seen on Aug. 30, 2023, in Chickasha. On Sept. 22, 2023, the Chickasha Police Department requested OSBI's help investigating his suspicious disappearance.
The medical examiner is working to determine Houston's manner and cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
