ZACH RAEL WITH CONGRESSMAN COLE. FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT. I THINK IT’S A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE IN THE JOB THAT I’VE DONE OVER THE YEARS BY MY FELLOW REPUBLICANS. TOM COLE, FEELING GOOD ABOUT HIS WIN AND IS ALREADY LOOKING FORWARD TO THE GENERAL ELECTION IN NOVEMBER. NOT FOR HIMSELF, BUT TO HELP GET FORMER PRESIDENT TRUMP REELECTED AND NUMBER ONE TO HELP. I THINK IF PRESIDENT TRUMP, I THINK IS GOING TO WIN THIS ELECTION. SO, NUMBER ONE, TO HELP HIM BE A SUCCESSFUL PRESIDENT, HELP HIM ON THE BORDER, HELPING WITH INFLATION, HELPING IN A DANGEROUS WORLD, PROVIDE THE MILITARY THAT HE NEEDS. I ASKED COLE IF HE WILL ACCEPT THE RESULTS OF THE 2024 ELECTION, NO MATTER WHO THE WINNER IS. I DON’T HAVE ANY REASON TO BELIEVE THAT PRESIDENT TRUMP’S NOT GOING TO WIN. SO IF PRESIDENT BIDEN WINS, WILL YOU ACCEPT THAT? LOOK, I ACCEPTED THE ELECTION LAST TIME. I DIDN’T AGREE WITH A LOT OF THE THINGS THAT WERE DONE. HOPING TO KEEP CONTROL OF THE HOUSE, FLIP THE SENATE AND GET TRUMP BACK IN THE OVAL OFFICE, COLE SAYS THE COUNTRY NEEDS TO SECURE THE BORDER AND GET INFLATION UNDER CONTROL. WE’RE GOING TO HAVE TO GET SERIOUS LONGER TERM ABOUT LOOKING AT SOCIAL SECURITY, MEDICARE AND MEDICAID, AND THAT DOESN’T MEAN CUT THEM, BUT YOU EITHER GOT TO GIVE THEM MORE INCOME, YOU GOT TO REFORM THEM. WE. COCO ZACH RAEL REPORTING THERE NOW, COLE STILL HAS TO GO. OF COURSE, THROUGH THE GENERAL ELECTION IN NOVEMBER. HE WILL FACE HIS DEMOCRATIC CHALLENGER. BUT IT’S

Oklahoma's 4th Congressional District covers the southern part of the state and extends into Oklahoma County.

While Cole's and Bondar's names are the best-known ones running for Oklahoma's 4th Congressional District, three other candidates — Nick Hankins, Andrew Hayes and Rick Whitebear Harris — were also on the ballot.

Those three candidates, however, recently appeared on a Bondar campaign ad showing their support for the challenger. Along with those endorsements, Bondar was endorsed by State Superintendent Ryan Walters and the Oklahoma Second Amendment Association.

Campaign ads from Bondar's and Cole's teams started flooding Oklahoma's airwaves in mid-May.

Bondar's attack ads against the incumbent Republican call out Cole's more than 20-year record in Congress. The ads include claims that Cole has worked too closely with Democrats on Capitol Hill and doesn't spend enough time in Oklahoma.

Cole responded with claims that Bondar isn't a real Oklahoman and that the incumbent has actually been endorsed by presidential candidate Donald Trump in the past, despite Bondar claiming to be the pro-Trump candidate.

KOCO 5 has conducted truth tests on many of Cole's and Bondar's claims, finding that many of the claims either aren't true or lack context.
