FROM HER DEATH. WELL BEHIND ME AND ACROSS THIS FENCE, A LOT OF THE DEBRIS FROM FRIDAY NIGHT’S CRASH IS CLEAR. BUT MARISSA BIRD’S MOM SHARED A LOT OF THE WRECKAGE WITH US THAT CAME FROM THAT CHAOTIC FRIDAY NIGHT WHERE HER DAUGHTER DIED. SHE SAYS THEIR FAMILY IS STILL IN SHOCK, AND THEY’RE ASKING FOR CHANGE. I GOT THE MESSAGE AND I STARTED FREAKING OUT. I WAS CRYING, I HAD A FEELING SHE WASN’T OKAY. STREET RACING IS A PROBLEM IN THIS AREA. YOU GO SIT ON THE HIGHWAY 20 MINUTES, YOU’RE GOING TO SEE SOMEBODY’S GOING TO BE STREET RACING. OHP SAYS TWO MEN WERE RACING ON I-35 NEAR 19TH STREET IN MOORE WHEN THEY HIT TWO OTHER CARS LATE FRIDAY NIGHT AND KILLED 26 YEAR OLD MARISSA BIRD. HERE YOU CAN SEE THE CARNAGE AND AFTERMATH OF MARISSA’S CAR. THEY ALREADY ARE ARRESTED. THEY HAVE BEEN BOOKED INTO CLEVELAND COUNTY JAIL. THERE’S BEEN TWO INDIVIDUALS. THEY WERE BOOKED ON FIRST DEGREE MANSLAUGHTER CHARGES. MARISSA BIRD’S FAMILY SAYS THEY’RE REELING. SHE. SHE WAS LOVED BY MANY. SHE WAS A GOOD PERSON. TRULY, SHE NEVER TALKED BAD ABOUT ANYONE. SHE WAS PERFECT. OHP TELLS ME THEY DON’T HAVE ANY INITIATIVES AIMED AT CURBING STREET RACING. THEY JUST PULL OVER DRIVERS WHEN THEY SEE IT. MARISSA’S MOM WANTS TO SEE ME MORE DONE. I THINK THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE PATROL. I THINK THEY NEED TO BE MORE STRICT. UM UH, SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE. I MEAN, HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE HAVE TO BE INJURED AND KILLED BEFORE SOMEBODY IS GOING TO STEP UP AND DO SOMETHING? I’M ANGRY AND I’M HURT OF THE WHOLE OKLAHOMA CITY AREA. WHY? MY DAUGHTER, HER FAMILY HAS CARS SIMILAR TO THE ONES THAT WERE ALLEGEDLY RACING AND HAVE A MESSAGE FOR PEOPLE WHO DRIVE THEM TOO. WE HAVE FAST CARS TOO, BUT THERE’S A TIME AND A PLACE FOR THAT. MARISSA’S FAMILY IS STILL FIGURING OUT WHAT’S NEXT, BUT THEY HAVE A GOFUNDME UP TO HELP WI
