The husband, who officials said shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself in Logan County on Monday, had a history of domestic violence.

The Logan County sheriff said the man followed his wife when she was going to pick up a female coworker before work. The man blocked the wife in her car to where she couldn't drive away and fired two shots into the car, killing her and turning the gun on himself.
Deputies confirmed the woman killed was 43-year-old Catalina Jimenez. The coworker, who was on the passenger side of the car, was able to get away uninjured.
Neighbors were left on high alert after the man fired multiple gunshots in the Logan County neighborhood.
"All I’ve got to say is it’s crazy," neighbor John Hamilton said.
Sheriff Damon Devereaux did not release the name of the suspect, but he did say the man had a history of domestic violence.
"It’s a domestic situation," Devereaux said. "I know that we’ve been out here on domestics for the people that were involved before. There’s kind of a pattern of domestic abuse, and I think he was recently arrested within the last several months for domestic by strangulation."
The sheriff said officials are doing what they can to make sure the coworker who was able to escape is doing OK.
"She was just along for the ride to go to work. She doesn’t have any part in the actions of either one of these two people," Devereaux said. "We understand the emotional situation that’s going on, too, with the family."
Deputies said they have crisis counselors available for those in the area.
"Everyone’s worried because there’s gunshots," a 911 caller said. "See if they could send someone urgently."
The sheriff said they will release the husband's name after the identity is confirmed by the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office.
"I’m kind of keyed up, but it’s not like I’m on pins and needles or anything. I’m sure all of this will hit me after a while," Hamilton said.
