YEAH, EVAN AND JESS, ACTUALLY, WITHIN THE LAST HALF HOUR OR SO, WE’VE HEARD FROM LOGAN COUNTY OFFICIALS WHO TELL US THAT WOMAN WAS 43 YEAR OLD CATALINA JIMENEZ. NOW, THEY SAY THAT SHE WAS DRIVING HERE. YOU CAN SEE THAT IT WAS THIS DRIVEWAY RIGHT BEHIND ME WHERE HER HUSBAND ACTUALLY BLOCKED HER IN, WALKED AROUND TO THE CAR AND SHOT HER. ALL I’VE GOT TO SAY IS IT’S CRAZY. NEIGHBORS ON HIGH ALERT AFTER MULTIPLE GUNSHOTS WERE FIRED MONDAY MORNING IN THIS LOGAN COUNTY NEIGHBORHOOD. IT WOULD JUST BLAM, BLAM, BLAM, THE SHERIFF SAYS. A HUSBAND FOLLOWED HIS WIFE DOWN THE STREET AND SHOT HER, THEN TURNED THE GUN ON HIMSELF WHILE DEPUTIES HAVE ONLY RELEASED THE NAME OF THE WIFE. IT’S A DOMESTIC SITUATION, THEY SAY. THERE’S A HISTORY OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. THIS I KNOW THAT WE’VE BEEN OUT HERE ON DOMESTICS TO THE PEOPLE THAT WERE INVOLVED BEFORE, THERE’S KIND OF A PATTERN OF, OF, OF, OF DOMESTIC ABUSE. AND I THINK HE WAS RECENTLY ARRESTED WITHIN THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS. AND FOR DOMESTIC STRANGULATION. THE WIFE WAS GOING TO PICK UP A COWORKER, THE SHERIFF SAYS THAT COWORKER WAS ABLE TO RUN AWAY AND WASN’T HURT. HE SAYS NOW THEY’RE DOING ALL THEY CAN TO MAKE SURE SHE’S OKAY. SHE WAS JUST ALONG FOR THE RIDE TO GO TO WORK. SHE DOESN’T HAVE ANY PART IN THE ACTIONS OF ANY ONE OF THESE TWO PEOPLE. NOW WE UNDERSTAND THE THE EMOTIONAL SITUATION THAT’S GOING ON TO WITH THE FAMILY. DEPUTY SAY THEY HAVE CRISIS COUNSELORS AVAILABLE FOR THOSE IN THE AREA WHERE EVERYONE’S WORRIED BECAUSE THERE’S GUNSHOTS. MAYBE THEY COULD SEND SOMEONE URGENTLY. I’M KIND OF KEYED UP, BUT IT’S NOT LIKE I’M ON PINS AND NEEDLES OR ANYTHING. I’M SURE IT’LL. I’M SURE ALL OF THIS WILL HIT ME AFTER A WHILE. NOW AGAIN, DEPUTIES SAY THAT THIS WAS A HUSBAND AND A WIFE, AND THAT COWORKER IS OKAY. THEY’RE WORKING TO CONFIRM THE IDENTITY OF THE SUSPECT IN THIS. THAT HUSBAND THEY SAY THAT THEY’LL RELEASE THAT ONCE HE’S POSITIVELY IDENTIFIED BY THE MEDICAL EXAMIN
