CUSHING WHAT HAPPENED? WELL, ZACH AND ABBY, THE SCENE IS CLEAR NOW, OTHER THAN THIS CAR THAT YOU CAN SEE BEHIND ME HERE. NOW, THAT’S THE CAR WHERE THE WOMAN WAS SHOT AND KILLED BY HER HUSBAND. NOW, HE FOLLOWED HER HERE TO THIS NEIGHBORHOOD WHERE SHE WAS PICKING UP A COWORKER AND BLOCKED HER IN WHERE SHE COULDN’T DRIVE AWAY. THE DRIVER WAS HERE TO PICK UP A COWORKER THAT SHE CARPOOLS WITH. A WOMAN PICKING UP HER COWORKER HERE, NOW DEAD, THE SHERIFF SAYS HER HUSBAND FOLLOWED HER TO THIS NEIGHBORHOOD PARKED BEHIND HER VEHICLE. SO, SO SO SHE COULDN’T BACK OUT AND THAT’S WHEN HE SHOT HER. HE SAYS THE MAN FIRED MULTIPLE ROUNDS INTO THE CAR, THEN WENT INTO THE PASSENGER SIDE WHERE THE FEMALE COWORKER WAS. THAT COWORKER WAS ABLE TO RUN AWAY, AND THE MAN THEN TURNED THE GUN ON HIMSELF. NEIGHBORS IN THE AREA SAY THEY HEARD THE SHOTS WHERE EVERYONE’S WORRIED BECAUSE THERE’S GUNSHOTS, AND IT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS COMING FROM A VERY LARGE PISTOL. IT DIDN’T SOUND LIKE A SHOTGUN, BUT IT WOULD JUST BLAM BLAM BLAM. I WAS WORKING AT MY DESK AND, UH, THE DOG STARTED BARKING AND I LOOK OUT HERE AND THERE’S, OH, SORRY, THERE’S ALL KINDS OF FIRE TRUCKS OUT HERE. SOME SAY WHILE THE NEIGHBORHOOD HASN’T ALWAYS BEEN QUIET, IT’S SAD THAT WE LIVE IN THE TIME. IS THAT, UH, THAT’S BECOMING THE RUN OF THE MILL THING. THE DEADLY SHOOTING LIKE THIS IS SHOCKING. AND I THOUGHT IT WAS PRETTY UNUSUAL FOR A MONDAY MORNING. WE HAVEN’T SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS. THIS IS THIS IS A FIRST, AND I HOPE IT’S THE LAST. NOW, THE SHERIFF HAS NOT RELEASED THE NAME OF THAT SUSPECT OR THE VICTIM IN THIS MURDER SUICIDE. BUT HE DID SAY THAT THERE IS A HISTORY OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. WE’LL HAVE MORE ON THAT COMING UP TONIGHT AT FIVE.
