THEN TOOK OFF SHORTLY AFTER. POLICE FOUND THAT SUSPECT AND FOLLOWED THEM TO THE BROADWAY EXTENSION. THAT’S WHERE THE CHASE STARTED. YOU SEE IT THERE? A suspect fleeing from the scene of a shooting was taken into custody after leading police on an overnight chase the wrong way down the Broadway Extension.Get the latest news stories of interest by clicking here.Police told KOCO 5 that the suspect shot a person several times at an apartment complex near Northwest 122nd Street and Western Avenue and took off."They had a chaotic scene there. They saw a car pulling away that matched the description of the suspect," MSgt. Gary Knight, with the Oklahoma City Police Department said. "They tried to stop that vehicle, and the pursuit started as the vehicle refused to pull over."Video of part of the chase showed that the driver's lights were off, and police said he was in the wrong lanes and reaching speeds of 100 mph. Officers performed a tactical vehicle intervention maneuver, causing the chase to end near 63rd Street and the Broadway Extension. OKLAHOMA CITY — A suspect fleeing from the scene of a shooting was taken into custody after leading police on an overnight chase the wrong way down the Broadway Extension.

Police told KOCO 5 that the suspect shot a person several times at an apartment complex near Northwest 122nd Street and Western Avenue and took off.
"They had a chaotic scene there. They saw a car pulling away that matched the description of the suspect," MSgt. Gary Knight, with the Oklahoma City Police Department said. "They tried to stop that vehicle, and the pursuit started as the vehicle refused to pull over."
