Semi crashes on Oklahoma City interstate, suspending cab 20 feet in air
A jackknifed semi crashed on an Oklahoma City interstate late Sunday night as storms moved through the area.

YEAH. ALL RIGHT. SO, DAMON, I THIS IS WHERE I-40 GOES UNDERNEATH I-35. UH, WHEN YOU’RE HEADING OVER TO THE CROSS TOWN, UH, WHERE I-35 JUST KIND OF JOGS. UM, WHEN YOU’RE GOING NORTHBOUND, I’M SORRY. SOUTHBOUND ON I-35 AND IT KIND OF JOGS, UH, OVER TO, UH, ONTO I-40. AND THEN YOU GO BACK TO SOUTH ON I-35. UM, THERE’S A TRUCK. NOW I’M GOING TO WE’RE GOING TO SEE IT HERE IN JUST A SECOND. STAY WITH ME. JUST FOR A SECOND. THERE’S A TRUCK THAT I IT APPEARS THAT IT JUMPED OVER THE WALL. AND, UM, YOU’RE GOING TO SEE IT. IT IS. WOW. THAT THING THAT IS AMAZING. WOW. I MEAN, I DON’T KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED. UM, THIS IS A VERY. WOW. I MEAN, HE IS THAT THAT TRUCK IS A GOOD PROBABLY 15FT, 16FT IN THE AIR. UM, THERE. AND, I MEAN, IT’S JUST IT’S JUST SUSPENDED. UH, WE’RE GOING TO PULL OVER UP HERE AND WE’RE GOING TO GET A BETTER SHOT OF IT. UM, I THINK THEY I’M NOT SURE IF THEY GOT THE DRIVER OUT, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THEY THE TRUCK. BUT I MEAN, YOU CAN SEE IT RIGHT THERE. I MEAN, YOU CAN SEE IT IS JUST SUSPENDED AND IT’S HANGING ON BY THE FRONT TIRES ON IT. BACK TO YOU. HOLY COW. WOW. OKAY. AND AGAIN THESE ARE JUST SOME THESE ARE JUST SOME OF THE PICTURES THAT ARE COMING IN RIGHT NOW. YOU KNOW, THE STORM CAME THROUGH HERE ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF. A jack-knifed semi crashed on an Oklahoma City interstate late Sunday night as storms moved through the area. KOCO 5 Storm Chaser Nick Smith shows the semi near the Interstate 35 and Interstate 40 interchange. The cab of the semi was suspended around 20 feet in the air.Nick said there were initial reports that the driver was trapped, but the driver appeared to be OK and talking to first responders. It wasn't immediately clear what caused the crash. All westbound lanes of I-40 were closed at I-35 because of the crash. The interstate was expected to be closed for several hours.
