BACK TO YOU GUYS. ALL RIGHT, CHASE, THANK YOU. AND WE WANT TO GET OVER TO KOCO CAMERON SIBERT WHO IS OUT IN SHAWNEE THIS MORNING. YEAH. SO, CAMERON, YOU’RE ON MACARTHUR STREET AND A HOME THERE WITH THE ROOF PARTIALLY TORN OFF A SMASHED WINDOW. AND THEN RIGHT NEXT DOOR, YOU’RE ALSO SEEING A TREE BENDING SOME POWER LINES OUT THERE. NEARLY CRASHING INTO THE HOUSE. AND CAMERON YOU ACTUALLY SPOKE WITH THE RESIDENT? HOW ARE THEY DOING. YEAH, THANKFULLY THEY ARE JUST FINE THIS MORNING, BUT CERTAINLY SCARY MOMENTS. A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD WAKING UP TO TORNADO SIRENS. THIS MORNING WE TALKED TO GARY DOWDY, HIM AND HIS WIFE WERE HOME HERE AT THEIR HOUSE ALONG MACARTHUR STREET. THEY CAME OUT TO THE BACKYARD TO ASSESS THE DAMAGE. THIS IS WHAT THEY FOUND. THE BACK SIDE OF THEIR HOUSE. THIS BIG TREE LIMB COMING DOWN ON THEIR ROOF IN THE BACKYARD. CERTAINLY GOING TO BE A LOT OF PICKING UP TO DO HERE. HE SAYS HE’S GOING TO HAVE TO GET THE CHAINSAW READY. AS THE STORM SWEPT THROUGH THIS AREA LAST NIGHT. AGAIN, THIS IS NEAR MACARTHUR STREET AND HIGHWAY 177. IT’S WHERE THE MAJORITY OF THE DAMAGE WAS DONE HERE IN SHAWNEE, JUST ACROSS THE STREET, A ROOF WAS PARTIALLY TORN OFF. WE TALKED TO EMERGENCY MANAGERS WHO SAID THEY’RE GOING TO HAVE TO BRING A TARP OUT TO THAT NEIGHBOR AS HE GETS READY FOR MORE STORMS COMING LATER THIS WEEKEND. NEIGHBORS DEALING WITH TORN LIMBS, DEBRIS SPREAD OUT. GARY AND HIS WIFE JUST JUST THANKFUL THEY’RE SAFE. WERE YOU SHOCKED WHEN YOU CAME OUT AND SAW IT LIKE THIS? I WAS I DIDN’T WELL, WHAT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS IN THE KITCHEN? I LOOKED OUT, I TRIED TO LOOK OUT THE WINDOW AND THERE WAS A TREE IN THE WAY. SO. SO WHEN I CAME OUT HERE, I WAS. I WAS REALLY SURPRISED TO SEE THIS MUCH DAMAGE. YOU KNOW, I SAW THE WE HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OR EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT. I SHOULD SAY THEY HAVE NO REPORTS OF MAJOR STRUCTURE DAMAGES OR INJURIES AT THIS TIME. THAT’S THE GOOD NEWS. AS THE DAY CONTINUES, WE WILL GET A BETTER IDEA OF THE DAMAGE LEFT BEHIND AND OF ANY CONFIRMED REPORTS OF TORNADOES FOR HOMEOWNERS HERE IN THIS AREA. GRATEFUL THEY’RE SAFE FOR NOW, BUT NOW THEIR ATTENTION HAS TO TURN TO THIS WEEKEND WITH ANOTHER CHANCE OF SEVERE WEATHER ON T
