The first lineup, announced Tuesday, includes major names such as Ice Cube, Blues Traveler and Cake. Over the past nine decades, the historic outdoor venue has hosted some of the biggest stars in music. "You have Bob Hope, Joni Mitchell, Kesha. Many, many artists come through, and I think having that historic aspect is important to the community and to the people who perform there, because they are taking the same stage that these incredible acts did before," Rowan said. In addition to the new artists, the venue is also undergoing significant upgrades. These include new bathrooms, upgraded concession stands and a new ADA-compliant deck for guests. "It's 90 years old almost and has some much-needed improvements, and so that is a huge priority just to make sure the historic venue can continue be here for OKC, so the community can enjoy music here for years and years to come," Rowan said. Tickets for the summer concerts go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. For those eager to secure their spots, presale tickets will be available Thursday.
