The Verdigris Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its own after an off-duty officer died in a crash on Easter.

Authorities say Officer Karen Conley-Greene was killed in a three-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer around 10:40 a.m. on Sunday along Interstate 44 near Garnett Road in Tulsa. Conley-Greene was pronounced dead at the scene.
Verdigris police said Conley-Green was off duty when the crash happened. She was a 15-year veteran of the police department.
"Her stewardship was exemplary and her dedication of service to the citizens of The Town of Verdigris and State of Oklahoma was and will be unmatched," Verdigris Police Department officials said in a Facebook post. "Officer Greene was loved by many and will be truly missed. Go rest high on that mountain Karen, we will hold the line from here. We all love you so much, we honor you. Rest in Peace!"
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
