UNFORTUNATELY MANY HOMES WERE LOST. WE’RE HERE IN NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA JUST TO THE NORTH AND WEST OF GAGE, WHERE AT LEAST TWO HOMES HAVE BURNED, ALONG WITH SEVERAL VEHICLES. HERE’S A LOOK AT ONE OF THE STRUCTURES THAT BURNED. THIS IS A TRAILER, AND THERE’S REALLY NOTHING LEFT OF IT. THE ENTIRE THING HAS BEEN CONSUMED BY FIRE AND BURNED TO THE GROUND. YOU CAN SEE SEVERAL VEHICLES THAT HAVE ALSO BURNED AS WELL, AND THAT’S THE REALLY THE EXTENT OF THE TRAILER AND WHAT’S LEFT OF IT. FIRES CONTINUE HERE ACROSS NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA, WHERE EVACUATIONS HAVE TAKEN PLACE IN GAGE AND SHATTUCK, OKLAHOMA. VERY DIFFICULT DAY WITH THE WIND AND THE LOW HUMIDITY. WE’RE HOPING TO SEE SOME IMPROVEMENTS AS WE GO THROUGH THE NIGHT IN NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA. FIELD METEOROLOGIST MICHAEL ARMSTRONG, KOCO FIVE NEWS MICHAEL THANK YOU. IT’S IT’S TOUGH TO SEE. AND MIKE TOLD US WITH THE CONDITIONS THAT HE WITNESSED, HE SAID IT’S MIRACULOUS THAT FIREFIGHTERS AND FORESTRY WERE ABLE TO SAVE AS MANY HOMES AS THEY DID. AND WE SPOKE TO A WOMAN WHO LIVES JUST ONE MILE OUT OF GAGE. IT’S CRAZY. I’M LUCKY. REALLY LUCKY THAT IT’S NOT MY HOUSE. IT IS CRAZY WEATHER, BUT NOTHING
