SO OKLAHOMA CITY POLICE JUST CONFIRMED WITH US SECONDS AGO THAT IT WAS A WOMAN WHO WAS SHOT IN THE HEAD. THERE IS A MAN HERE ON SCENE BEING INTERVIEWED BY POLICE. I’M GOING TO SHOW YOU THE SCENE THAT WE’RE AT RIGHT NOW. NOW, THIS IS THE SECOND SCENE HERE ON 39TH AND MACARTHUR. THE SCENE ACTUALLY INITIALLY HAPPENED AT 38TH AND ANN ARBOR. WHENEVER A POLICE GOT A CALL SAYING THAT THE WOMAN HAD BEEN SHOT IN THE HEAD. NOW THE DRIVER OF THE CAR DROVE INTO THIS CVS PHARMACY WHENEVER THEY SAW AN OFF DUTY POLICE OFFICER HERE WAVED DOWN THAT OFFICER FOR HELP, SAYING THAT THE PASSENGER OF THE CAR HAD BEEN SHOT AT. NOW, WE DID TALK TO A WITNESS HERE ON SCENE WHO SAID HE WAS HERE FOR HIS WIFE, PICKING UP SOME OF HER MEDICINE WHENEVER HE SAW THE SCENE UNFOLD. THAT LARGE WHITE DODGE TRUCK CAME BARRELING IN TO INTERCEPT THAT VILLAGE COP. SO THEY CAME TO A STOP TOGETHER RIGHT BEHIND US, AND I NOTICED IT. SO I JUMPED OUT AND HE WAS JUMPING OUT OF HIS TRUCK SAYING, HEY, THIS LADY’S BEEN SHOT. NOW, THIS IS STILL A VERY ACTIVE SCENE. POLICE SAY THAT THAT WOMAN HAS BEEN TAKEN TO OU MEDICAL. THEY SAY SHE’S IN VERY CRITICAL CONDITION. AND AGAIN, THERE IS A MAN HERE ON SCENE WHO’S BEING INTERVIEWED BY POLICE. BUT THEY SAY THAT THEY DON’T KNOW HOW OR WHY THE WOMAN WAS SHOT.

A woman was shot in the head Thursday afternoon in Oklahoma City, according to police. At around 3 p.m., the Oklahoma City Police Department received a report of a person shot in the head near Northwest 38th Street and Ann Arbor Avenue. The 911 caller said they were taking the victim to the nearest hospital in a personal vehicle. While on the way to the hospital, the car transporting the victim pulled into a parking lot near Northwest 39th Street and MacArthur Boulevard after seeing an off-duty Village police officer there.
