JASON BERGER IS. HE JUST GOT AN UPDATE FROM POLICE GUYS. I JUST SPOKE WITH POLICE. THEY TELL ME THAT VICTIM HAS PASSED AWAY AFTER THE HIT AND RUN COLLISION THIS MORNING. I ALSO SPOKE WITH STILLWATER POLICE. THEY TELL ME THE VICTIM IS A FAMILY MEMBER OF A STILLWATER POLICE OFFICER. HERE’S WHAT CAMPUS POLICE HAVE TOLD US. THIS STARTED OUT AS AN ACCIDENT WITH INJURY AT MONROE STREET AND CANTWELL AVENUE ON THE NORTH SIDE OF CAMPUS. THE DRIVER TOOK OFF FROM THE SCENE, AND POLICE SAY THEY SPED AWAY IN A WHITE FOUR DOOR PICKUP TRUCK WITH DAMAGE ON THE DRIVER’S SIDE FRONT BUMPER. WITH THE HELP OF STILLWATER POLICE, OSU PD SAYS THEY WERE ABLE TO FIND THE VEHICLE AND A PERSON OF INTEREST HAS BEEN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY FOR QUESTIONING. A student died after a hit-and-run crash that happened Thursday morning on the north side of Oklahoma State University's campus.Get the latest news stories of interest by clicking here.Shortly after 10 a.m., OSU Campus Safety issued an alert stating that university police were investigating an accident at Monroe Street and Cantwell Avenue.
