Police say a man was taken to a hospital after he was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound early Tuesday morning at an Oklahoma City apartment.

Around 6 a.m., police received a call about a person with a gunshot wound at the Seminole Ridge Apartments near Interstate 240 and Santa Fe.
Police told KOCO 5 that they found evidence of multiple shots being fired. An initial investigation indicated that a man walked outside, fired multiple shots into the air and then went back inside before turning the gun on himself, according to police.
The man was alive when he was taken to a hospital, police said.
Oklahoma City police also are investigating a deadly shooting at a nearby Days Inn Motel. Authorities told KOCO 5 that the two shootings are not connected.
