THIS IS OFF OF THE SOUTHEAST 89TH EXIT OF I-35, JUST ABOUT A MILE EAST. I’M GONNA STEP OUT OF THE WAY HERE. YOU CAN SEE THE THE CREWS THAT ARE STILL HERE. THEY GOT HERE AT 745. THEY’RE LOCKING UP THE GATES. THIS ALL STARTED WITH A FIRE ON THE BACK SIDE OF THIS WAREHOUSE HERE. THERE’S SOME PALLETS IN THE BACK THAT ARE, UH, THAT SPARKED WITH SOME DE-ENERGIZED LITHIUM ION BATTERIES. NOW, THAT COMES FROM THE BATTALION CHIEF. The fire began on the backside of the warehouse from de-energized lithium-ion batteries, according to officials with the Oklahoma City Fire Department. Crews were working the scene for around three hours. Fire crews said the fire is under investigation, but they do not expect any foul play was involved.
