ACCUMULATING SNOW. CREWS ARE STILL OUT. WE’LL TALK TO MICHAEL HERE IN A MINUTE. I WANT TO GO OUT TO STORM SKY 5 FIVE STORM COMMAND SKY 5 TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. CHASE, LOOKING AT YOUR GPS LOCATOR KIND OF LOOKS LIKE. OH, THE KILPATRICK AND I-40. UH, LOOKS LIKE THE BRIDGES ARE. GETTING SOME SUNSHINE AND ANY ICE OUT THERE STARTING TO MELT. I GUESS IT’S LOOKING BETTER, RIGHT NOW. JONATHAN. IT’S LOOKING. A WHOLE LOT BETTER NOT SEEING ANY CARS SLIPPING AND SLIDING LIKE THEY WERE EARLIER THIS MORNING. THAT SUN SURE IS HELPING. AND THAT ACCIDENT OVER ON I-40 INVOLVING THAT OKLAHOMA CITY POLICE OFFICER THAT IS CLEARED UP. SO THAT’S GOOD NEWS. AND THEN THERE THEY WERE ABLE TO GET ALL THOSE VEHICLES OFF OF, UH, GARTH BROOKS. AND ON I-40. BUT THERE WERE A NUMBER OF ACCIDENTS ALONG. ALONG I-40 THIS MORNING DUE TO THAT, THAT FLASH FREEZE THAT YOU WARNED EVERYBODY ABOUT. JONATHAN. WELL, WE APPRECIATE ALL THE HOURS YOU’VE LOGGED IN. SKY 5 I KNOW YOU’RE JUST LIVING IN THE DREAM. YOU GET TO, YOU GET PAID TO FLY AND KNOW YOU’RE HAPPY. AND WE APPRECIATE YOU TELLING THIS STORY FROM THE SKY THERE. CHASE, THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT. YOU DO. BACK TO THE GPS LOCATOR HERE AGAIN. THERE’S THERE’S CHASE. LET’S GO TO THE NORTH. LET’S GO INTO THE VILLAGE. MICHAEL ARMSTRONG, YOU WERE OUT LAST NIGHT. YOU’RE OUT THIS MORNING. UH, LOOK AT THAT SNOW. WHAT DO YOU THINK? DO YOU THINK WE’RE GOING TO MELT ALL OF IT TODAY WITH THAT SUNSHINE? I THINK WE MIGHT. I MEAN, YOU KNOW, WE MEASURE THREE INCHES HERE IN THE VILLAGE. ONE OF THE THINGS THAT’S KIND OF AMAZING JONATHAN IS THE SUN IS BEING SO POWERFUL NOW, THERE’S ACTUALLY REALLY NOT EVEN THAT MUCH MOISTURE ON THE ROAD. IT IS DRYING OUT SO FAST. THERE ARE AREAS WHERE ALL I CAN SEE IS JUST THE SALT AND SAND MATERIAL LEFT OVER FROM WHAT THEY’VE BEEN SPREADING OVERNIGHT. OUT. SO BIG DIFFERENCE FROM THE GRASS TO THE CONCRETE. AND THAT’S ONE OF THE THINGS WE TALKED ABOUT WITH THIS SYSTEM, WITH THE TEMPERATURES WHERE THEY WERE AS. THIS WAS GOING TO BE AN EVENT WHERE THE SNOW ACCUMULATED MUCH MORE EFFECTIVELY ON THE GRASS THAN IT DOES ON THE ASPHALT. YEAH. MY, UH, MY ONE OF MY KIDS WAS SO UPSET BECAUSE HE LOOKED HE THOUGHT I SAID, IF THERE’S SNOW ON THE GROUND, YOU HAVE NO
