At around 2 p.m., the Norman Police Department responded to a crash on Alameda Drive. Officers located one vehicle that had departed the roadway for an unknown reason and collided with a tree, according to police.
One person was transported to a hospital, where they later died due to injuries sustained during the crash. The passengers in the vehicle suffered minor injuries, according to police.
It wasn't clear how many people were inside the car. The age and identity of the person killed in the crash have not yet been released.
