A man was taken to a hospital after a vehicle lost a tire that jumped a median and caused a multi-vehicle crash early Monday morning on Interstate 35 in Moore.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol collision report states that a pickup truck was traveling south on I-35 when it lost a tire. A semitrailer struck the tire, causing it to jump the interstate’s median and hit several other vehicles.
The tire caused significant damage to a van’s windshield, and Sky 5 video showed that part of the vehicle’s roof was ripped open by the collision. The person driving the van was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, according to troopers.
The incident also caused a brief traffic delay on northbound I-35 during the morning commute.
