THE INSPIRATION FOR THIS CHRISTMAS SET UP BEHIND ME IS THE MOVIE HOME ALONE, WITH MANNEQUINS SHAPED LIKE ITS CHARACTERS AND A SIGN THAT SAYS MERRY CHRISTMAS, YOU FILTHY ANIMALS! COREY STEGMAN SAYS HE PUT THIS TOGETHER FOR HIS DAUGHTER. I HAVE THE ACTUAL FILTHY ANIMALS THAT VIDEO ON LOOP AT NIGHT, SO YOU CAN SEE THAT IN THE WINDOW. ELLA STEGMAN HAS A RARE GENETIC DISEASE THAT REQUIRES HER TO USE A WHEELCHAIR AND CAN EVEN CAUSE SEIZURES. HER DAD MAKES IT HIS MISSION TO PUT A SMILE ON HER FACE. SHE HAS HAD SOME CHALLENGES THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE DON’T HAVE TO TO DEAL WITH, AND SO. SO YEAH, THAT SMILE JUST JUST MAKES ME SMILE. SO HE MADE THEIR CHRISTMAS DISPLAY HOME ALONE THEMED A NOD TO THEIR LOVE FOR THE MOVIE. I DIDN’T KNOW HE WAS DOING IT QUITE A FEW HOURS. UH, UM, I GUESS KIND OF CREATING THE IDEA AND THE CONCEPT AND, UM, YOU KNOW, PUTTING TOGETHER THE, THE MANNEQUINS AND ORDERING THE DIFFERENT PARTS AND PIECES WHEN ELLA AND HER MOM CAME HOME FROM THE STORE, SHE SAW THE DISPLAY PULLED IN THE DRIVEWAY. AT FIRST THE MANNEQUINS SCARED ME. HALF TO DEATH BECAUSE I THOUGHT THEY WERE ACTUAL PEOPLE, YOU KNOW? AND THEY WERE GOING TO JUMP OUT AND GET ME OR WHATEVER. AND WHEN I CAME CLOSER, I’M LIKE, OH MY GOD, THAT’S AMAZING. THE STEGMAN SAY BIG DISPLAYS LIKE THIS HAVE HELPED THEM FORM A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP. An Oklahoma dad and his daughter have a bond over their unique Christmas lights.Ella Stegman has a rare genetic disease with only around 20 known cases in the world. KOCO 5 spoke with her dad, who said he will do anything he can to put a smile on her face.The inspiration for their Christmas setup is the movie "Home Alone" with mannequins shaped like characters and a sign that says "Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals."
