IT’S A QUESTION A JURY MAY SOON FACE AS CHASE COOK WAS ORDERED TO STAND TRIAL TODAY, KOCO MEGHAN MOSLEY WAS IN THE COURTROOM AND HAS THE NEW EVIDENCE IN THE CASE. WELL, FROM WITNESS TESTIMONY TODAY, A JUDGE FOUND CHASE COOK BOUND TO GO TO TRIAL FOR THE DEATH OF TEENAGER MADELINE BILLS. MUCH OF THE EVIDENCE THAT WAS PRESENTED TODAY SHOCKED THE COURTROOM. THE JUDGE DECIDED THAT THERE WAS PROBABLE CAUSE AND THAT THE DEFENDANT WILL BE BOUND OVER FOR TRIAL. A CLEVELAND COUNTY JUDGE HEARD FOUR HOURS OF WITNESS TESTIMONY TUESDAY AS 20 YEAR OLD CHASE COOK SAT SILENT IN THE COURTROOM. MADELINE BILLS MOTHER TESTIFIED ABOUT FINDING HER DAUGHTER DEAD IN HER ROOM IN THE POOL HOUSE OF THEIR HOME IN APRIL. CHASE COOK IS CHARGED WITH HER RAPE AND MURDER. MR. COOK, DO YOU HAVE ANY COMMENTS TODAY, SIR, DURING WITNESS TESTIMONY, TWO DETECTIVES WITH MOORE POLICE TESTIFIED TO WHAT THEY FOUND LEADING UP TO COOK’S ARREST. FROM HIS PHONE. THEY FOUND VIDEOS OF COOK HAVING SEX WITH MADELINE IN ONE OF THE DETECTIVES, DESCRIBING IT AS VERY FORCEFUL. THEY ALSO FOUND JARRING SEARCH HISTORY FROM COOK LIKE WHAT HAPPENS IF CHOKED FOR TOO LONG? AND HOW LONG DOES A RAPE VICTIM HAVE TO PRESS CHARGES? ANOTHER ONE, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE CHLOROFORM TO MAKE SOMEONE FALL ASLEEP WHEN INGESTED? AFTER COOK’S ARREST, DETECTIVES GOT A SEARCH WARRANT FOR LETTERS. HE WROTE IN JAIL IN MAY, ONE OF THEM TO HIS FAMILY AND ANOTHER TO MADELINE’S FAMILY, APOLOGIZING FOR THEIR LOSS. AND ANOTHER LETTER, NOT ADDRESSED TO ANYONE. BUT READ, QUOTE, THERE WAS SOME CHOKING. IT DOESN’T FEEL LIKE I KILLED HER. DEFINITELY DIDN’T RAPE HER. HER BEING SCARED OF ME IS A LIE. THE DEFENDANT HAS THE RIGHT TO TO PLEA AT ANY POINT IN THIS TIME. AND WE ARE JUST ON THE TRACK TO GO TO TRIAL NOW THAT PROBABLE CAUSE HAS BEEN FOUND. MADELINE’S FAMILY SENT A STATEMENT TO MEDIA TODAY SAYING SHE WAS A SHINING LIGHT IN THEIR LIVES AND TOUCHED MANY WITH HER KINDNESS AND POSITIVE LEVITY.
