Around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, officials responded to a scene on Interstate 240 near May Avenue where a car had crashed. Officials said the car attempted a lane change, lost control, and rolled several times.
The driver was ejected 39 feet from the vehicle. The 18-year-old driver was transported to a hospital and admitted in critical condition.
At around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, the driver died as a result of their injuries.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the driver as Hector Garza.
