WE’VE BEEN HEARING HERE THROUGHOUT THIS NEIGHBORHOOD THAT POLICE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THIS SUSPECT TO COME OUT. THIS IS A DOMESTIC SITUATION. THE SUSPECT CAME OVER TO A HOME. HE WAS INTOXICATE, GATED AND THREATENED. A WOMAN THERE TOLD HER TO LEAVE AND THEN FELL ASLEEP. SHE DID LEAVE AND CALLED POLICE. BUT WE KNOW THAT HE IS NOW IN THERE BY HIMSELF. HE IS ARMED AND HE HAS A WARRANT OUT FOR HIS ARREST. WE KNOW THAT HE IS NOT RESPONDING RIGHT NOW. AN OFFICERS DON’T KNOW WHAT LEVEL OF THREAT THAT THEY ARE DEALING WITH. A man was arrested after an hourslong standoff situation that prompted a tactical team response Friday morning at a southeast Oklahoma City apartment complex.Get the latest news stories of interest by clicking here.The standoff began around 5 a.m. after police were called to an apartment complex along Sunnylane Road near Southeast 56th Street. Police said the incident started as a domestic situation during which a man refused to let a woman leave an apartment.Officers at the scene told KOCO 5 that the man reportedly went into the apartment drunk, threatened a woman there and told her to leave before falling asleep. The woman left and called 911. The suspect refused to come out of the apartment for several hours, and the Oklahoma City Police Department's tactical unit responded to the scene.
