THE COUNTDOWN IS ON UNTIL THANKSGIVING. THE COUNTDOWN QUITE, QUITE LITERALLY HERE. EIGHT DAYS, SIX HOURS. FOOD PRICES ARE UP. THE TURKEY PRICES ARE DOWN, THOUGH. THAT’S NICE. YEAH. HEY, WE WANT YOU TO HAVE YOUR PUMPKIN PIE AND EAT IT, TOO. SO I WENT TO THE STORES TO SEE WHO IS SERVING UP THANKSGIVING MEAL DEALS. IT’S INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE. EVERYTHING IS SO EXPENSIVE. YEAH, IT’S KIND OF CRAZY. WE’RE SHOPPING SMART AND WE’RE KIND OF GETTING THINGS EARLY. NO ONE WANTS THANKSGIVING DINNER TO GOBBLE UP THE BUDGET. SO THIS YEAR, LET’S GIVE THANKS FOR WAYS TO SAVE HERE AT ALDI. THE STORES ALREADY SLASHING PRICES BY UP TO 50% ON DOZENS OF HOLIDAY CLASSICS, EVERYTHING FROM GREEN BEANS TO POTATOES. AND MY FAVORITE, THE PIE CRUST ALDI SAYS THE SAVINGS WILL HELP YOU SEAT THREE MORE PEOPLE AT THE TABLE, EVEN YOUR SISTER’S NEW BOYFRIEND. AND THAT’S A QUOTE. THE DEALS LAST THROUGH THE END OF THE YEAR. NO NEW BOYFRIENDS OR GIRLFRIENDS ADS. NOT FOR A WHILE, THANKFULLY. RETAIL GIANT WALMART SAYS IT’S REMOVING INFLATION ON A TRADITIONAL THANKSGIVING MEAL AT A LOWER PRICE THAN LAST YEAR, OFFERING TWO THANKSGIVING BASKETS RIGHT NOW, ONE, IF YOU ENJOY COOKING FROM SCRATCH, THE OTHER WITH READY TO BAKE OPTIONS, YOU’LL EITHER GET ITEMS TO PREPARE THANKSGIVING FAVORITES OR ITEMS TO JUST POP IN THE OVEN. IT JUST REALLY DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH CONVENIENCE YOU’RE LOOKING FOR. WITH BOTH, YOU’LL HAVE A TURKEY HAM PLUS ALL THE FIXINGS, INCLUDING MAC AND CHEESE, MASHED POTATOES, STUFFING GREEN BEANS AND SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE PLUS PIE TO SERVE EIGHT PEOPLE. THE PRICE POINT IS ABOUT $60 FOR QUICK AND EASY AND 70 FOR THE FROM SCRATCH MEAL. YOU CAN ORDER WALMART HOLIDAY FOOD BASKETS ONLINE FOR PICKUP OR DELIVERY. AND IF YOU HAVE PEOPLE OVER AFTER TURKEY DAY, THEY STAY ON SALE THROUGH DECEMBER 26TH. NOW, IF YOU DON’T WANT TO SPEND TOO MUCH TIME HERE IN THE KITCHEN AND BELIEVE ME, I GET IT, THERE ARE MORE HEAT AND EAT OPTIONS AT OTHER LOCAL GROCERY STORES. HOMELAND HAS SEVERAL HOLIDAY DINNERS YOU CAN ORDER ONLINE OR AT THE DELI. TODAY, THE CHEAPEST THREE HEAT AND SERVE OPTIONS ARE JUST UNDER $100. THEY ALL INCLUDE TURKEY OR HAM. AT LEAST TWO SIDES, ROLLS AND CRANBERRY SAUCE AND FEED ANYWHERE FROM 6 TO 12 PEOPLE. UPTOWN GROCERY SAYS EVERY ITEM ON THEIR THANKSGIVING MENU IS MADE FROM SCRATCH. JUST LIKE MOM WOULD MAKE MY MOM’S A PUMPKIN PIE IS INCREDIBLE AND MOM’S HOMEMADE CHICKEN AND DRESSING. I HAVE TO SAY THE STUFFING ACTUALLY, THEY’LL HAVE DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF HOLIDAY HOME COOKED MEALS THIS YEAR, STARTING AT JUST UNDER 70 BUCKS. THAT’LL FEED 2 TO 4 PEOPLE. AND INCLUDE TURKEY OR HAM WITH GRAVY STUFFING, GREEN BEANS, MASHED POTATOES, CRANBERRY RELISH, DINNER ROLLS AND PECAN PIE. YOU CAN GET THE SAME MEAL FOR A MUCH LARGER GROUP FOR ABOUT $130, YOU CAN PREORDER TODAY AT UPTOWN GROCERY. AND IF YOU’RE A WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE KIND OF PERSON, THEY JUST NEED 48 HOURS NOTICE. SO YOU CAN CALL OR ORDER ONLINE JUST TWO DAYS BEFORE THANKSGIVING. TARGET SAYS THEY’RE HELPING YOU SET THE TABLE FOR LESS. THEY’RE NOW OFFERING SOME SWEET AND SAVORY SIDES FOR LESS THAN FIVE BUCKS. AND SELLING A THANKSGIVING MEAL FOR UNDER $25. SO WHAT DO YOU GET EXACTLY? WELL, LET’S TAKE A PEEK IN THE CAR. A GOOD AND GATHER 10 POUND TURKEY PLUS SIX STAPLES, RUSSET POTATOES, GREEN BEANS, CRANBERRY SAUCE, STUFFED MIX, TURKEY GRAVY AND CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP. I’M DEFINITELY EXCITED ABOUT THE FOOD SINCE I’M EXPECTING ANOTHER BABY. SO CONGRATULATIONS. YES, I’VE GOT A LITTLE TURKEY IN HERE AND I CAN’T WAIT TO HAVE SOME STUFFING AND SOME MASHED POTATOES. AS YOU SHOP, COOK, AND GATHER FOR A FEAST THIS THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY, WE HOPE BOTH YOU AND YOUR WALLET WILL BE STUFFED. FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND FOOD AND YOUR MEMORIES ARE PLENTIFUL. OH, THAT’S WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT. THE MEMORIES, RIGHT? WELL, SEVERAL LOCAL RESTAURANTS ARE OFFERING FULL HOLIDAY MEALS TO GO AS WELL. BRENT’S CAJUN SEAFOOD SAYS THEY’RE ROLLING BACK PRICES TO 2019.
