*** plane and *** car collide on *** mckinney road. I saw the airplane coming down the runway, quickly knew that he wasn't going to have time to stop and you know, it was clearly going too fast. The tires were smoking. Jack Schneider was working nearby and captured this video of the crash. So I quickly pulled out my phone because I could tell something was about to happen. And I watched him go across the ditch across the fence, the fence onto the road onto the other road. And then of course, the car and the airplane met the mckinney Fire Department rushed to the scene on eastbound Virginia Parkway around 1230 Saturday afternoon. Those nearby watched in disbelief when you drive, you check your left, you check your right, you don't check up. It was he was trying to land and the brakes didn't work. First responders checked out the two people inside the plane that traveled in for Midland as well as the driver of this vehicle. She was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. She was definitely *** surprise. It wasn't, you know, not something you expect to have happen to you. Witnesses who spoke with. The pilot said it was his first time landing at Arrow Airport and that he claimed the aircraft's reverse thrust which slows the plane down wasn't working. It was still like, completely surreal. I wasn't expecting it. Obviously, everybody's ok though. So we're all thankful that nobody was hurt.
