KOCO JASON BERGER AT THE EVENT TO REMEMBER HER LIFE. 14 YEAR OLD ISLEY TOUCHED THE LIVES OF EVERYONE SHE KNEW. I TALKED WITH HER STEPDAD AND HE SAID HE WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO GET HER BACK. BUT HE’S NOT GOING THROUGH THIS ALONE. FAMILY, FRIENDS, PEOPLE WE DON’T EVEN KNOW APPARENT NEVER WANTS THEIR CHILD TO GO BEFORE THEM, EVEN IF THEY DON’T SHARE THE SAME BLOOD. KENNETH MYERS RECALLING ONE OF HIS FAVORITE BIBLE VERSES AT AN EVENT TO REMEMBER HIS STEPDAUGHTER, ISLEY. LET THE LITTLE CHILDREN COME TO ME AND DO NOT HINDER THEM FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN BELONGS TO SUCH AS THESE. THE COMMUNITY GATHERED AT BUCK THOMAS PARK TO SHARE MEMORIES AND RELEASE BALLOONS IN HER HONOR AS A CENTRAL JUNIOR HIGH STUDENT. I’M TOLD SHE HAD A PASSION FOR ANIMALS. WE HAVE FOUR DOGS AND IF YOU COULDN’T FIND THEM DOWNSTAIRS, YOU GO UPSTAIRS, YOU’D FIND HIM IN EISLEY’S ROOM. AND NOW KEN SAYS HE KNOWS WHAT MOORE STRONG REALLY MEANS. JUST HAVING PEOPLE COME OUT THERE. A LADY THAT SAID, HEY, I DIDN’T KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON. I WANTED TO COME AND JUST HUG YOU GUYS. Friends, family, and even strangers gathered in Moore on Sunday afternoon to remember a 14-year-old student who died after she was hit by an Amtrak train. Icelee Prestel touched the lives of everyone she knew, according to her stepfather Kenneth Myers. Myers said he now knows what "Moore Strong" really means. He felt it during the event with all of the people who gathered — some who didn't even know Prestel. “Just having people come out to say, 'Hey, I don’t know what’s going on, but I just wanted to come and hug you guys,'" said Myers. He remembered the day he proposed to Prestel's mom, and he officially became a part of her family. "The day that happened when I proposed, I said, 'You remember that day you asked me if I was going to be your dad?' She said, 'Yeah.' I said, 'Well, yes, I am,'" said Myers. On Saturday, her dreams and spirit carried her family and friends. “One of the things she wanted to do was go to UC Davis in California to be a vet," said Myers. A memorial service for Prestel is scheduled for Monday.
