A RURAL ROAD JUST EAST OF EARLSBORO WAS A CRIME SCENE LATE FRIDAY NIGHT, A MAN WAS FOUND DEAD OUTSIDE A PROPERTY ON 3500 ROAD WITH A WOUND TO HIS HEAD. DEPUTIES SAY HE WAS ATTACKED. SOME SORT OF ALTERCATION HAD TAKEN PLACE AND THE VICTIM WAS STRUCK IN THE HEAD WITH AN AX. HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE. WE’RE TOLD THE VICTIM WAS STAYING AT A HOME RIGHT NEXT TO WHERE THE SUSPECT CAME FROM. WE’RE NOT AIRING HIS NAME BECAUSE HE HAS NOT YET BEEN FORMALLY CHARGED. THE SUSPECT I GUESS, WAS STAYING AT THE HOUSE THERE WITH HIS MOTHER AND THEN THE VICTIM WAS HOUSE SITTING FOR SOMEONE NEXT DOOR. BUT THEN DEPUTIES HAD TO HUNT FOR THE SUSPECT. THEY FOUND HIM NEAR I-40, MILES AWAY FROM THE CRIME SCENE. WE’RE TOLD THEY WERE ABLE TO TRACK HIM DOWN BECAUSE THE SUSPECT CALLED 911 HIMSELF. IF HE HAD FLED ON FOOT. WE GOT INFORMATION THAT HE HAD CALLED IN TO 911 AND WAS WALKING ON I-40 WESTBOUND TOWARDS SHAWNEE. NOW, DEPUTIES ARE WORKING TO FIND OUT WHAT LED UP TO ALL THIS. WE’RE TOLD THERE WERE SOME WHO SAW THE WHOLE THING. WE DID HAVE SOME WITNESSES THAT DID WITNESS THE INCIDENT TA
